| #1 Posted on 10.3.03 1354.47 Reposted on: 10.3.10 1358.09 | Something rarely discussed is in regards to the WWE Superstars who are left off the Wrestlemania PPV. As we all know, not EVERYONE can be on Wrestlemania, especially nowadays considering the massive girth of the entire WWE roster, unless they had a battle royale, which is doubtful. I'd just like to know how these lower tier people feel? Do they try to be upbeat and positive about it? Do they let it slide off their backs? Are they grumpy in miserable? How do the Nunzios, the Funakis the Rodney Macks, the Terris, the Tajiris, the Chuck Palumbos of the WWE feel about being left off the PPV altogether?
It's like being capable to play at the Super Bowl but the coach won't let you play, not even for a second. I guess you could call it being benched. How these WWE superstars feel about being 'benched' off of Wrestlemania? Also, I wonder if they still get a payoff of some sort.... Promote this thread! | | Simba

(even those on injured reserve if healthy enough) I would guess that they get some sort of payday by appearing at Axxess, albeit much less than appearing on the PPV proper. With business being down, it will be interesting to see if they continue this year. | redsoxnation

If they want to be in the spotlight that bad they can just think back to their indy years headlining that high school gym after driving 300 miles to get there and not even be paid enough to cover gas money home. | Lord of the Manor

There's Rikishi for example. What will Jeff Hardy and Test being doing? Or Hurricane Helms. Who is Team Angle going to face at WM? If Beniot gets Brock, they have no one to fued with, since it looked like they were gonna have a Beniot/Rhyno vs. Team Angle program. And consider if they didn't have all these injuries. There would have been a lot of upper midcarders left out in the cold. | sergeial

I think that most of the guys you mentioned are either too new, or too not-over to be pissy about not being on WM. I'm sure Rodney Mack feels lucky just to be on Raw rather than Heat (or the indies, for that matter). And he is.
It's veterans and guys who feel that they are over who probably get a little annoyed when they don't have anything much going on when PPV time comes. But a wrestling career is bound to have ups and downs, it's the nature of the beast.
