Personally I prefer the RAW style and find the storylines are generally better thought and acted out than on the SD side.
Like Vanillasky said, Raw also gives the womens division some air time, though I still feel they need a bit more depth in that area of the roster before they can really push it. | TheMarketingMajor

I'm shocked by the responses thus far.
I know the roster is currently injury depleted, but I feel the SD! roster is by far more talented and puts on the more compelling matches.
I do have to say though, RAW has gotten MUCH better the last month or so. THe disparity isn't as great now as a while ago.
Still, gimmie Angle, Benoit, Lesnar, Rey, Edge and the Guerreros anyday over Hogan, Steiner, and HHH.
Still, I guess RAW having Booker and RVD and SD! having Big Slow and Taker kinda balances things out. | OMEGA

| #8 Posted on 9.3.03 1431.23 Reposted on: 9.3.10 1436.07 | Personally, I enjoy SmackDown much more. It's funny. I'm always much more excited on Mondays for Raw than I am on Thursday's for SmackDown. Every Monday I think "Great. RAW's on tonight. After a hard day of work I can relax with some good entertainment", while on Thursday's I think "Oh yeah, SmackDown's on. Cool." Probably because Raw is live and I don't know what will happen yet. Whatever.
But by the time the shows are over, I am almost always pleased with SmackDown. Even if it wasn't one of their better shows, I can always say "Well, that Benoit/Rhyno v. Team Angle match was worth watching alone. I love this show!!!" But at the end of RAW, almost every week I am annoyed or pissed off about most of what happened. Can't explain it. So, in the end, I'd say that, personally, SmackDown is the better brand. | count olaf

That's true but everybody on Smackdown DOES do it right. Benoit, Lesnar, Eddie, Edge, Angle, Haas, Benjamin, Kanyon, Noble, Tajiri, Matt, Mysterio, Rhyno, are all enjoyable to watch in the ring. I'll take Smackdown any day.
Raw is improving though, and they have some talent wrestling wise on their side with Jericho, Christian, Lance, Booker, RVD, to me they are the ones who dont "do it right", because they are usually boring in the ring.
Also, I do enjoy the women's division too but I hate that every show for a month is the same two people feuding. Mix it up some. Have all five women (Trish, Victoria, Jazz, Ivory, and Molly) top contenders at once so every week you can have a meaningful, but different, matchup. | fuelinjected

Over on RAW, the only ones that I really enjoy on a consistant basis are Chris Jericho, Christian, and Victoria.
Maybe that will change with Austin back on RAW and Angle and Edge out for a year, though. | OlFuzzyBastard

I kinda get the feeling that Austin's headed to Smackdown after Wrestlemania, though... (That's where both his "money matches" lie - Austin V. Hogan and Austin V. Lesnar.) | JWstorm

There are more guys on Raw that I'm a fan of, and they are capable of working some pretty entertaining matches, and, in general, are more capable in interviews and entertaining angles than the Smackdown guys. A few bad angles on Raw doesn't make that any less true.
That's part of the reason, that it's also easier to write a column on Raw than it is on Smackdown. | JWstorm

I also find myself not able to miss RAW and only catching a bit of Smackdown despite how much better Smackdown has been. It could be because RAW is live, but I think it's habit more than anything. Besides, I can't miss C.S.I on Thursdays. :) | HMD

I care about on Raw: Helms, Booker, Jericho, Flair, Trish, Jazz, Victoria, Stevie, Rock
I care about on SD!: Benoit, Eddy, Chavo, Angle, Knoble, Rey, Mattitude, Shannon Moore, Rhyno, Kanyon, Brock, Heyman, Kidman, Team Angle. Cena is growing on me, Spanky/Kendrick looks good, and O'Haire will be there, too.
Smackdown holds a 2-1 advantage. Raw usually feels like a chore to sit through (although Heel Rock has changed that trend a bit), but even a below-average SD leaves me feeling entertained. |
