Chris Kanyon -- complications (early Jan'03) Mark Henry -- ankle (early Jan'03)
Billy Gunn -- shoulder disloc & numbness (reeval Dec'02)
Bradshaw -- biceps tear (Mar/Apr '03) Kevin Nash -- quad tear (Mar+ '03) Scotty 2 Hotty -- cervical fusion (May'03) Batista -- triceps tear (Jun-Dec/03 (3/03+3-6 mos)) Lita -- cervical fusion (June-July'03) Bob Holly -- cervical fusion (Oct '03) Randy Orton -- broken foot: 3 places, surg w/rods (Sep/03-Mar/04 (3/03+6-12mos)) Edge -- cervical fusion (Mar '04) Kurt Angle (champ) -- cervical fusion (Mar'04(3/03+12+mos))
Remember that the dates they usually give for "will be out for" means til they're fully cleared -- there's generally some non-trivial time to get back in ring-shape from that point til they're really ready to work again. | The Vile1

TAKA asked for his release, and got it, a while ago. I think he's either wrestling in Japan or training in Japan. Either way, he's in Japan. | Freeway

The Undertaker never got his elbow surgery and isn't working a full schedule.
Triple H's quad is still all taped up but he seems to be working more now so maybe its a little better.
Scott Steiner is always injured and one step away from a major injury.
Big Show's back is in bad shape.
Eddie Guerrero has been working through an injury but I can't recall what it is.

I was always of the mind that "Michonoku" was his actual last name. I guess it's like the sumo term "Yokozuna" (i.e. Grand Champion). Do other Japanese sports have cool-sounding titles for their champions? | eviljonhunt81

| #15 Posted on 9.3.03 0155.35 Reposted on: 9.3.10 0155.38 | Michinoku means "north east," which is where Michinoku Pro runs their shows. M-Pro doesn't have any titles, although their guys occasionally win titles in other federations.
Few, if any, of the titles in Japan are named after the company that the title is defended in. Also, there's interpromotional shows fairly often as of late, so titles might go to another promotion. For example: All Japan's Triple Crown (it is three seperate titles unified into one) was recently won by Shinya Hashimoto, who is in Zero-One. At the Zero-One show I went to last week, Hashimoto and Ohtani fought Mutoh and somebody else (I already forgot who), who are from All Japan, and Takayama and some guy fought two Zero-One regulars, The Predator and Jimmy Snuka Jr. Takayama and his partner are from UFO, which is not a federation but a bunch of guys that hang out. Or something like that. Takayama is also the NWF champion, which is primarily a New Japan title.
Check out www.puroresu.com for more information. I'm too hungover to explain it any better.
edit: M-Pro does have some titles in its roster, but they aren't really "M-Pro" titles. It's more like titles that ended up there. For example, Sasuke is the NWA Lightweight champ (or something like that) and they also have the NWA Welterweight title.

Have you got a reference for that? (The "something" is the hematoma, which becomes a much more problematic thing if it actually calcifies. Last I'd heard, it was resolving itself without calcification. Do we have a new update?)
If we're going to start to list all the injuries that the guys have that they continue to work through ... well, it'd be easier to try to come up with the list of who's completely healthy. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
