Damn, looks like Nathan should have been a Tough Enough contestant if 'Taker has to go over the basics with him.

He moves around very awkwardly. I mean just when he's walking around the ring, it looks odd.

This guy sure doesn't seem like a maniac they were making him out to be. They shouldn't have associated him with anyone- it makes him look like a wuss having 'Taker "train" him.

They could have Nathan watch old Stan Hansen tapes to get ideas on how to be more maniacal (what the hell am I saying?). Having UT train and calm Jones down makes for great irony, as the once cult leader who killed his parents would be playing a peacemaker now.

I really hope they don't wait too long to turn Jones. Personally, I have no desire to cheer the man since they portrayed him as a psychopath in the promos. I guess they could have him turn on Taker to set up something post-Mania.

That "training" segment was the lamest ten minutes of television I've seen in a long time.

Not to mention the fact that it totally screws up Jones' "maniac" character. I mean, let me get this straight: this crazy monster who even the guards were afraid of when he was in jail, comes to WWE and meekly turns into Undertaker's bitch?

Beyond stupid.

If anyone trains Jones, it should be Paul Hogan.

i think the idea behind someone being "insane" is that they can be totally fine and then snap for no reason. i'm not saying i wouldn't have preferred him to be totally generically psychotic, because that would have been really fun :), but i AM saying that they could definitely go somewhere with this that wouldn't compromise the character they set up.

And people were on me for saying WWE would not follow up Nathan Jones and Sean O'Haire's vignettes with something remotely interesting? What was the point of the promos putting him over as a maniac when he was going to be like this? The best thing would have been is to have him attacking everyone and then UT taking him under his wing to direct that rage. But WWE is showing it's talent for making people look like goofs.

Calm down, people. I still think Nathan Jones will be the greatest Australian wrestler in the WWE since Outback Jack. I think we can all agree to that much, right?

But couldn't he atleast be as good as the Bushwhackers. That's all I'm asking for... well, that and the lactating, but I guess we can't get what we want ALL the time.

Well i'm willing to give it some time. I agree that Nathan Jones should act a little more psychopatic but at the same time the last time UT took someone under his wing (Big Show) it was a pretty entertaining angle for him.

This is when you know your getting old: Watching the joke of Taker training Nathan Jones, I had the sneaking suspicion that they are going to build up an ultra-rushed version of Sammartino/Larryland from 1980. I mean, if that could put 40,000 plus in Shea Stadium, a Taker feud of that nature could draw 200,000 plus with Vince Jr. promoting it.

I think this is all quite funny. It's like it's meant to be a straightforward acknowledgement that Vince loves the big men, regardless of any talent or skills they have.

Last night they basically said "Oh, this guy is a big monster, but hey, he can't wrestle"

wow.

Well, he did spend a long time in jail. Maybe he took one look at "the biggest dog in the yard", decided that he didn't want to try and fight his way up to the top and just went ahead and dropped the soap. Er, figuratively speaking.

I mean, Oz was a really high-rated show...

And Untertaker was sort of channeling Shillinger, I think.
