I'd like to have him replace Tazz as a heel commentator, like an evil Lord Alfred Hayes. Who would you like to see? Promote this thread! | | gargs

I loved it when he and Christian whould announce matches and call the moves (We are going to break up the match, it's called a "run in"). He would be cool on the mic. Also, I really liked Paul Heyman and JR together. I thought the fact that the probably hated each other made their chemistry even better. A heel color with a face announcer always work better.

I would like to see Regal replace Lita, however. Regal never wrestles on HeAT, so it wouldn't be a complete conflict, and hopefully it wouldn't stop him from being ready to compete on Raw.

| #8 Posted on 6.3.03 1140.11 Reposted on: 6.3.10 1140.50 | What about Bobby Heenan? Perhaps his health would be an issue, but otherwise I'd take his brand of humor over Lawler's any day. Of anyone on the current roster, I'd like to hear Heyman again. The tension between him and JR was just fantastic, and he was able to give angles over in a serious tone. And hey, its not like the guy doesn't have some free time on his hands now... | IsaacYankem

When I started this thread I was thinking of new people..some intersting replies here though. I never figured so many people liked Heyman as an announcer. Joey Styles was great too, but joey AND Cyrus was even better IMO. | Spaceman Spiff

I wonder if The Rock will ever go back to calling his own matches while still wrestling in them again, now that he's a heel again. That was some damn funny shit back in the day.
I loved JR and Heyman on Raw, but I always wondered what it would have been like if they brought in Cyrus (the Virus) to replace Lawler instead. Actually, that's what I thought they were going to do when I heard about Lawler leaving.
Michael Cole and Tazz have been doing a great job on commentary. Never thought I would say that.
I remember liking Scott Hudson the best out of all the WCW announcers. Him and Heenan worked really well together on one of WCW's weekend shows, but I can't remember which one. I still can't believe they made the bonehead move of replacing Heenan with Mark fuckin' Madden. That was just painful. | jfkfc

He would be right up there on my list with Devon Storm (didn't he do a great Solie impersonation on Thunder once?).

That has the potential to be AWESOME! Too bad it'd never happen. Tenay's my favorite play-by-play guy and Corny was always underrated as a color man. Fans of Cornette should check out a couple of compilation DVD's that have him and Meltzer on "smart" commentary. Anybody know which DVDs those would be? | EeeCeeOh
