And for nearly rolling over to the Nazis, yes. I understand that millions of Russians (or well, I guess they were all Soviets back then) lost their lives while the Wermacht rolled across Russia because Iron Joe curled up in a ball because he couldn't BELEIVE the Germans were abrogating their treaty.
Killing off most of his military's leading mind probably didn't help either.
