PWBTS.com is reporting that come April, Heat will move from MTV to TNN. I guess that will start the Sunday after WrestleMania.

Although some might differ, I view this move as a positive. Except for War to Settle the Score and the thing WCW did Memorial Day weekend of '98, wrestling and MTV are an off-beat combination (then again, I remember the days when MTV actually played music. And, Bring Back Remote Control). Its better to consolidate all the cable shows on TNN, thus possibly increasing viewer loyalty to the redneck network (Bring Back the Dukes of Hazzard) and not confusing fans by having the cable package split between two networks.
On a side note, does this seem to indicate that Tough Enough III was the last of the series?

I agree with RSN in this being a positive. With all the other programs on TNN, it makes sense to consolidate to one (cable) network. And God knows MTV needed to free up some more time for Sorority Life.
On a personal negative note, this likely spells doom for the TE franchise. I guess it makes sense, since they're in cost-cutting mode these days.

One could assume that they could shove this over to TNN as well...but why?

This is almost as big of news as when they changed the names of Metal and Jakked.
USA, MTV, TNN, it's still Heat and it's still barely watchable most weeks with the volume off.

Now that I think of it I'm more worried about the fate of Tough Enough. My personal opinion says that if it isn't the last season, then it will stay on MTV as it blends in nicely with the Sorority Life/Fraternity Life/Real World/Road Rules/Osbournes/Battle of the Sexes genre the network is pushing hard.

Honestly...If it looks and feels the same it'll still blow the big one.

I'd like to see them adopt an old-school format. Make Heat the show where they appear in front of the graphic of their name, and cut crazy promos for the PPV. New vignettes should air and a segment every other week called "my dinner with..." showing a fan (read, no-name actor) having dinner with a different WWE superstar. I still feel Heat should be a non-denominational show since it falls on crucial PPV nights...

Another problem with this reality crap taking over MTV is that most of the music-related shows go on MTV2 now. MTV2 doesn't play videos that much anymore.

I prefer Heat on TNN.
