No one, except you, beleives that Team Angle should be demoted. They are both talented wrestlers who will be a tag team force for a while.
If you want to continue to post these ridiculous threads, go right ahead. This is America and you are free to vioce your opinions as you see fit. But really, your posts are annonyingly sad.
Don't get me wrong, here Wpob, some of the stuff (smarks are fat, lazy Star Wars fans) that this guys posted have pissed me off a bit. But since then, particularly in the 'T-shirt' thread he did well not to rise to a fair amount of baiting.
As for being the only one who thinks Team Angle should be demoted, how do you explain the completely dead reactions they've been getting at house shows and the 'Boring' chants at SD tapings? I don't think they're Velocity bad but if they had been put into a Kurtless stabel, say, um, Evolution then I guarantee they would have received a lot more flak round these parts.
And if this is America I'm hella lost.

dMr:
My point is Team Angle has a future in the WWE. They are young hungry wrestlers who are not cuaght up in the backstage politics (that I know) and do not have the power to influence the big boss. They are the type of wrestler, like Lesnar, Cena, Orton, Batista, that need exposure to grow into a main event player. Throwing them permanently on Velocity could kill them mentally and then you have just lost two promising players.
I have loved Team Angle and their skits with Angle. It will be interesting to see how they do without him. Losing Angle will force these two to stand on their own two feet and make themselves marketable. I hope they do it because we need young superstars to step it up. The Rock is a part timer, Undertaker, Hogan, Flair, Nash, Steiner and Austin are on the way out and HHH is a horror show and hopefully he will move upstairs (front office) soon. So what you are left with right now is a bunch of guys that need to be elevated and soon. And that is just the singles division.
In the tag division, there is such a huge void that it is practically SCREAMING for help. And Team Angle is in the right spot at the right time to take advantage of this. had they come along a few years back with Edge/Christian, the Hardys, the Dudleys and such, they would have gotten buried. Now is the time to push a dominant tag team and I would say to give them a shot and see what happens. Putting them on Velocity permanently would be a waste.

| #43 Posted on 6.3.03 1047.13 Reposted on: 6.3.10 1048.21 | Point largely taken. Like I said, I don't believe that Team Angle deserve to be buried, but they are struggling to get any real heat, and I firmly believe if they weren't associated with someone we all like then they would be getting a lot more criticism.
Course their lack of heat isn't helped by having the pair of them job to Brock on a regular basis. I cant imagine for example we'll see Booker going over Regal and Storm to help get him over prior to WM.
But you're right about having to build up new talent and I do have hope for the names you listed, along with the likes of Rhyno, Jericho, and Matt Hardy who I think still have a a lot more to offer.
We'll have to agree to disgree on HHH who I think is finally returning to form, but other than that, fair points well put. | Wpob

Two points:
I am 100% behind Matt Hardy. I will stand up and say that I was one of the people who thought he would never make it as a singles wrestlers and if he did it would NEVER be as a heel. I love his character, i love his intensity in the ring and on the mic and I love the fact that this angle can go in so many different directions that it is scary.
As for HHH, I was a huge HHH mark a few years ago (weren't we all?) but I have soured on him big time since he came back from his injury. I hope that he reverts to his old ways, but I just do not see that happening. Again, i want to be wrong about HHH more than anything because he is talented when he works at it and he is good on the mic. The WWE needs him to be the old HHH and he needs to realize that he does not need the belt to get over. He needs to just be HHH. | minextoo

| #45 Posted on 7.3.03 0503.49 Reposted on: 7.3.10 0504.47 | On the subject of Matt Hardy, i actually think Scott Keith put it best when he said Matt Hardy is in love with being a wrestler, Jeff Hardy is in love with the idea of being a wrestler. I knew SK was good for something.
Goldberg is not the answer to WM. He wants all this money and all these special privileges -- screw him. I sign you to a contract, you don't get to pick who you work with. Goldberg has a MAJOR ego problem. He thinks because he beat Jerry Flynn 67 times and and number of luchadores 53 times he is the best thing that ever happened to wrestling. He's a has-been and a never-will-be at the same time. Kind of an oxymoron. If Goldberg has to be there don't announce it, have him run-in or something ala Warrior at WM 8.
Benoit is not the answer. Sure, I'd like to see Chris get his shot with the title. I don't start stroking myself whenever he comes on TV like most people here but I do enjoy his work, though he will probably never be in my top ten favorite wrestlers. However, the WM main event is not the time to experiment with wrestlers. The WM main event is the place where wrestlers the WWF is positive the crowd wants to see is given the ball to run with.
If there is argument as to whether or not the casual fans want to see Benoit, then he is not ready for the WM main event. Austin, Hogan, Rock, Andre, Taker, Hart, Michaels, Savage, HHH -- these are guys who at the time were definately over with the fans and there was no doubt they belonged. The only two WM main eventers that I can think of that probably didn't belong (aside from MR T. -- he doesn't count) are Sid (XIII) and Jericho (X-8). | count olaf

First he has the perfect line to tell Brock on his promo. Picture him at the top of the ramp saying “I hear they call you the Next Big Thing. Well, I say you’re just NEXT!”
Another plus side is if Goldberg is stupid enough to stiff Brock like he did Bret then Lesnar will beat the ever loving shit out of him.

I think Jericho COULD have belonged. WWF just totally dropped the ball, giving him cheap win after cheap win, never letting him look like a main-eventer (When was the last time Steve Austin wrestled Tazz on the opening match of RAW, and was then never seen or mentioned again the rest of the night?), and building WrestleMania around Triple H v. Stephanie McMahon, while Chris Jericho walked the dog, scooped dog shit, and bought Stephanie hand-lotion.
Chris Jericho could have belonged in the WrestleMania main-event. It's just that the WWF didn't want him to belong there. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
