I think yes. I mean, I don't think they could have gotten so popular in North America and getting tonnes of radio play if they DIDN'T use All The Things She Said as victoria's theme.

I think it's more the fact that they are so "controversial" yelling about being little teenage lesbians from russia that sells them, and I guess..catchy songs..
So no, they should not thank WWE.
And oh..I guess this has been asked and answered and discussed in the wrestling forum already.

I think you're wrong. After all, how much Neurotica have you heard and they got a HELL of a lot more WWF/E exposure...
No, they NEED to be thanking Trevor Horn! Yeah!

| #4 Posted on 27.2.03 1510.30 Reposted on: 27.2.10 1510.40 | Well, from my perspective, I gotta agree with fraserman. I was in Target one day, and I heard them playing something familiar on the radio, and I couldn't place it, and then I realized it was Victoria's theme, and I'm all trying to find out what CD that is and why are they playing that. I finally heard it again on the radio a day or two later and all my questions were answered.
Then again, I just downloaded the song, so they got no money from me. And I would have to think that its not so much the wrestling theme as the lesbo theme that's getting all the attention, so maybe I'm not the best authority for this argument...

Tatu's Julia Volkova celebrates her 18th birthday yesterday. Now that she's come of age, the Russian pop star has apparently signed to pose nude for Playboy magazine.
Julia has previously said she'd strip once she was old enough to appear in the adult magazine.
Her band mate Lena Katina has expressed a similar intent. -- MTVE.com
...thank you lord, for what we are about to receive!
They have been around for about 3 years now, however, and I feel they owe Vince nothing for thier popularity.
The How Soon Is Now cover is better then Morrissey's whiny ass version, but Richard Butler still does it best.

Did Neurotica actually get any radio airplay? I know they never had a video on MTV or anything. I mean if you're to spend all that time hyping the hell out of them you could at least afford to pay off a radio station to get them played. It worked for Limp Bizkit. | count olaf

Well, not at MY radio station they didn't. It's funny that you should mention that, because I finally gave in and stole the Neurotica CD from the Junk CD drawer at the station and was planning to give it a listen through sometime this weekend. I'm expecting it to be bad. VERY bad. | Feely

They got added by a paltry few stations, and even then most if not all of those had them in light rotation. Though I suppose that's what you get with a first single that has the chorus "All my friends, they shit on you." Good riddance. | thefraserman

| #17 Posted on 18.3.03 0848.25 Reposted on: 18.3.10 0852.47 | Here's the thing: TATU was going to be a big camp hit before the WWE machine used their song for Victoria. It is more of a case of the WWE jumping on the back of a group about to "break out."
Now the Evanescence song, here is where I give some credit to the WWE for getting that song played. I first heard the song on WWE TV (the TATU song I had heard previously), and now the song is getting some real big play. Hearing the song on WWE made me aware of it, and now that song is one of my favorites. | CRZ

Except there's probably a whole lot MORE people who'd call it "that song from Daredevil."
I think there's a segment of wrestling fans who are desperately trying to convince the rest of the world that wrestling is still mainstream (if it ever was)...also, most of them write for the sheetz. ;-) | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
