We get a great look at the Michael/Dwight relationship close up. And we get a slightly different look at the Pam/Jim dynamic.

| #3 Posted on 5.10.05 0022.22 Reposted on: 5.10.12 0022.46 | | I thought last week's episode was head-and-shoulders above this weeks, but it's not to say this week didn't have its moments. I'm laughing every time the character of Kevin is on the screen, and I don't know why. I also liked Michael trying to back out of the deal. | JustinShapiro

So, not having seen the previous eps this season, I have to say that this one had me laughing out loud at two points - the last-minute backing out, and the "closing ceremonies". When the paper doves came along the back of Jim, Michael, and Dwight, that was just priceless.

I just take solace in the fact that I know there isn't anyone in my office I couldn't take in Finnish Box Racing.
Funniest line of the night (that no one else has alluded to yet) was Michael arguing with Dwight about beet-farming. "No one likes beets...you should grow CANDY!!"

Seconday props go to Pam and Jim for their "commentary" during the finnish foot game.
I love this show; and the addition of a laugh track would KILL the mood and the fun of the program. Thank goodness there isn't one. | JustinShapiro

I don't think it's in the league of Arrested Development, which sits in a class by itself as a magical gift from God Himself, but it says something about just how good The Office has gotten that I'm liking it even more than I do Ricky Gervais' Extras and this season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Both of which are very good but, surprisingly, not The U.S. Office good. The big four have done such a good job of carving out their own niches as these new(ish) characters that I don't even think of them as American Tim, American Gareth, etc. It's just like oh hooray it's Pam! And Fat Halpert.
