A couple of things I take from the chase being set tonight:

1. Kyle Busch- BWAHAHAHAHA!!! And he can't cry like a bitch tonight. His pit crew got him out ahead of Vickers; all he had to do was gain one spot. He didn't and his failure to make it to the top 12 is all on him. Try to pin on someone else this time, you jackass.

2. The bigger story, IMO, is Matt Kenseth not making it. That really surprised me because only he and Johnson had made all previous chases. I figured after winning Daytona and California to start off the season, he would be a shoe-in for the chase. Very shocked to see him out of it.

3. These last 10 races should be very interesting to watch because unlike the other chases, I can see the 'outsiders' (those 13th or lower in the standings) having a bigger influence in the races. You have five men outside the top 12 who won races already and I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more won in the final 10 races of the season. They'll definitely throw a wrench into the chase standings and I think it will be more fun to watch as a result.

This may sound vanilla but I'm going with Jimmie Johnson making history winning the chase again. The tracks favor Johnson in the Chase. Keep an eye on Denny Hamlin as possible darkhorse in the Chase.

I'm glad too Kurt Busch made the Chase.

Oh, good lord, please no. I'm tired of the love for Jimmie Johnson. It's as tiring as those diehard yokels who think Dale Jr. is the Greatest Driver Of All Time or something like that.

There's an article on Yahoo's NASCAR page, saying that Jimmie Johnson could make history and win his fourth championship. He has to get through Hamlin, Gordon, and Stewart.

But wait...he's tied for second with Tony Stewart, a mere ten points behind Mark Martin. So...he'd have to go through Mark to win it, not Hamlin, right?

Well, this is Yahoo, who's pretty much pro-Hendrick.

For the record, I'm pulling for another Cup for Kurt Busch, or perhaps Tony Stewart.
