Yes, what you see here is another WMXX thread. Some of my favorite matches are matches where the crowd support has been split, Warrior/Hogan (WM6), Hogan/Rock (WM18, although they were very pro-Hogan), and Shawn/Sid (Survivor Series 96). Even matches like Goldberg/Nash at Starrcade 98 and Rock/Goldberg (Backlash 03) was a little enjoyable due to the 50/50 crowd. Now I was wondering if any of the matches on Sunday has potential to go this way. Up until very recently, I thought Goldberg/Brock had the possibily of getting a split reaction from the crowd, considering the pop the F5 during Rumble got, the fact that Brock has gotten pops from NY crowds before (SSlam 02 & Survivor Series 02), the fact that there might be less casual fans than usual in the arena because of high ticket prices, and the fact that Goldberg hasn't had full crowd support in his single ppv matches in WWE when his opponent hasn't been HHH. Of course, those matches were against Jericho & Rock and he has gotten a bit more over with WWE crowds since then. But with this latest news of Lesnar leaving, depending on how many will know about this, some of those who would have supported Brock might go with Goldberg instead. Other than that, I don't see much potential for a split crowd. Maybe in the triple threat match, but it's not the same since it's not a singles match. Having Eddie/Kurt go at it as face/face could have been interesting, although with Eddie's momentum I think he would have gotten the crowd support even if Kurt had stayed face.

Lesnar/Goldberg will be down the middle 25/25, with the other 50% going to Stone Cold.
And I have to say that we *must* boo HBK out of the building. Including him in the feud has been asking for Benoit not to have any face heat, so I hope the Garden crowd is smartened up enough to realize who the real man in the match is. However, I don't think we should give much of any reaction to HHH. Doing so would simply add to his ego.
So here's the memo for those of you going to the Garden on the 14th:

I think Rock will be booed loud enough to hear. Probably about 65/35 cheers. It's New York and they probably know come Monday he won't be around. Not that they should boo him; at least he comes back and has a good time every so often. But they will.
