Wow they(Fox News) really hooked her up. She will be a contributor, special event political programming and have her own periodic show. All Sarah all the time? Wonder if she will still run for Prez?

Should be interesting.

Not sure why she's taking a step down from using Facebook to give her political insight.

Working for Fox News seems to be a required step for 2012 contenders. Huckabee has his show on there. Gingrich is pretty much kept in a glass box the way Letterman used to keep Marv Albert around in case he needed him. I look forward to some sort of show with Romney and Neil Cavuto, or Tim Pawlenty awkwardly hanging out on Red Eye.

I actually had 9:30am in the pool for the first one of these. And I had the person using the supremely clever "Faux News" reset. Oh well.

I don't think she'll run. Being a media celebrity seems more her thing than actually contributing to the running of the country. Plus, she's put herself in a position to make another two years' worth of on-air gaffes that could be used against her.

Couldn't pass up the two for one opportunity.

But I shy away from the funky names like Faux, probably due to all these years of people using F$U.

But seriously I don't think this is a lead up to running, how could she? I mean even she has to know that quitting in Alaska ruined any slim chance she had.

I think she still plans to run in 2012. Maybe she thinks being on FXN every day (or weekly?) will do a better job of keeping her & her opinions in the public eye than book tours and sporadic TV guest appearances can?

Apparently she wanted to speak during McCain's concession speech, but the McCain camp wouldn't let her. I guess you could say her desire to be more of a celebrity than a politician was evident then.

If she wanted to contribute to the country, she would have stayed Governor of Alaska. No, she went for the payday. Also, the same book that accuses Reid of being a racist also says McCain's team didn't even bother to interview her for VP and she was in a catatonic state at times. Here is the link...http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts1054

Yep, enjoy getting "news" from her.

Here is her debut. The only disappointment is that she is sitting behind a desk.

I am literally horrified that, even after all the gaffes and demonstrations of her complete lack of knowledge on anything beyond her own religious beliefs, people still think she is a good candidate for the presidency. This isn't a Republican/Democrat thing - there are PLENTY of Republicans who I would be just fine with running the most powerful country in the world, McCain being one of them. But Palin is just beyond the pail.

I believe that's "Pale". Seriously, relax. Even if she were elected, this country will survive. IMO, we survived 8 years of "W" and to my Republican friends know we survived 8 years of "Slick Willie".

Please, everyone no matter your beliefs, this will be entertaining as hell and she will either prove herself or blow up. But any one from Olberman to O'Reily fans, No One watches these channels now that the election is over. So have a beer and relax.

Survived, yes, but between a recession of historic proportions and seemingly growing hatred from parts of the Middle East things aren't exactly going swimmingly.

Not a knock on W, Clinton or anyone in particular really, I just think we should have a stab at electing people based on intelligence rather than whether they come across well on TV. In any number of countries there are exceptionally stupid people (or people of blindingly average intelligence) getting into positions which offer worrying amounts of power. Not that this isn't a horribly naive and idealistic hope, but I still think we should give it a shot.

EDIT - people who hit 'submit post' too early really shouldn't be criticising the intelligence of others. An eejit is me.....

Eh, we're being good today

ah, she can be no worse that George snuffelufugus on This week and GMA. It's not like fox is bringing in some hack sports reporter and pretending they are a serious newsperson.

although I agree with the doc - I rarely watch foxnews (or any of the others) unless there is, well, news. She's at least as qualified to talk about politics and stuff as Huckabee or whoever CNN and MSNBC have on.

I'm also looking forward to Obama's health care show on C-SPAN if that ever happens.

There is a vast difference between being a reporter, and a pundit. She will do just fine amongst the people who already support her. I think she was a pick from a guy grasping for a lifeline and she did the best she could.
