Reposted on: 15.11.11 2014.08 | Coil founder John Balance (a.k.a. Jhonn Balance) was killed on Saturday in an accident at his home. He was 42.
Balance founded Coil in 1983 as a solo Psychic TV side project; Peter Christopherson joined in 1984. They were scheduled to appear next month at ATP Camber Sands along with LFO, Aphex Twin, Throbbing Gristle and the Fall, among others. A huge loss for the industrial/experimental/electronic music community.
