| #1 Posted on 18.11.02 1115.18 Reposted on: 18.11.09 1116.49 | I'm sure everyone heard Rico yelling very loud about Jeff Hardy missing the top rope spot last night. I wonder if he'll get in trouble for audibly calling the spot that loud. This just shows how Jeff has been slacking off more an more with sloppy ring work and now missing of spots. That rail run he tried to do was horrible.
This also shows who the better Hardy is. And that's Version 1 baby! He took Steiner's suplex like a champ. And him pushing Nowinski into Steiner was beautiful.

Perhaps then, if they are actually pushing Matt at the time, he could return in order to destroy the concept of Mattitude. At this point, the only purpose to watching a Jeff Hardy match is whether this will be the night he breaks his neck. | mountinman44

| #4 Posted on 18.11.02 1129.01 Reposted on: 18.11.09 1129.02 | I don't think that Rico will be in any sort of dog house for yelling at Jeff. They'll tell him not to do it again, of course, but as long as it doesn't continue to be a problem, I don't see it being a major thing.
And despite missing that spot, Jeff had a hell of a match last night. Sure, Matt's been more entertaining lately, but let's give credit where credit is due.
I don't necessarily thing that the two rail spots he's blown lately have been his fault. The one on RAW he missed because he didn't want to step on the production guy's head, and it looked like something (someone?) tripped him up yesterday. If people don't move out of the way, he can't be blamed for bailing out on the spot. | Parts Unknown

No big deal. Rico did SO much more in the match. [/smarkiness]
Jeff may have missed the spot, but Rico was totally unjustified in yelling that so the whole arena could hear it. If anyone should be punished for this, it should be him. | Simba

| #6 Posted on 18.11.02 1141.00 Reposted on: 18.11.09 1142.48 | Jeff was late in getting to the ropes to knock Rico off. He was perched there, waiting... Jeff was just late for his cue. Yeah, he probably shouldn't have yelled it, but it was the "heat of the match" type of thing. I certainly don't think it will lead to any further action. While Rico's was the most audible, the ringside mics picked up a lot of chatter between the guys last night. I heard Angle clearly ask Rey, "are you okay" after his botched turnbuckle spot. Bubba was also giving some audible direction during a table spot. | FurryHippie

However, chant of the night goes to "Free Booker T" during the elimination chamber match (after Y2J came out but before Booker). I don't know if that made it on to TV or not. | oldschoolhero

He was struggling to cover with that "Oh, oh, I'm losing my balance" arm-waving, but it seemed like he was up there forever before Jeff finally got there to shake the ropes (and at that, it was the rope on the opposite side of the ring from where Rico was standing). | JWstorm

I've always thought that Matt had the better look/skill of the two. Jeff just doesn't look like he could really "go" with most of the roster. | Smackfiend

Some people are "ahead of their time" but apparently Jeff is about 6 years behind. Given this scenario, he'd have fit in perfectly back when they used to tape 4 weeks of RAW in one night. | Ender

| #18 Posted on 19.11.02 0113.22 Reposted on: 19.11.09 0115.38 | Rico most definetly shouldn't have lost his temper in the match, but it's not something that I feel he should get into any kind of serious trouble for. Maybe just a few words from Ross or Vince will suffice...
And about Jeff... I used to hate him, but now I'm a big fan. Why? Because he's... DIFFERENT!!! Plus, his whole 'live in the now' philosophy rules all kinds of ass. Not to mention his ass rules. *Winks* ... *Coughs*... ANYWAY, uh... yeah. I still think that he has talent, and it shouldn't be thrown away just because a few people don't like him, and because he's had some apparent personal problems. I'm sure it's not easy getting over steroid abuse... and I'm sure it's not easy putting up with hurting yourself day after day only to have people call you a talentless phony.
With exception to the Tough Enough crew, all the wrestlers in the WWE have worked their asses off to get where they are, and I think they deserve a hell of a lot more credit than they'll ever be given. Even if some hate fans (Bradshaw), even if some hold everyone else down (HHH), even if some have personal problems (Jeff Jeff), and even if some are a little out of shape (Giant), I think that we need to go a lot easier on them, because they hurt themselves for us, they bleed for us, and they shorten their lives for us. | DarrylTheHitman

He really does need to take a break to heal all his injuries and get his mindset back to being a great wrestler. I'm not badmouthing the guy, I'm just saying he's risking being totally crippled within a year unless he gets his shit together. |
