TONIGHT: The big news is that Triple H returns, no doubt to address his injury and Brock Lesnar quitting. Will Paul Heyman, who returned last week, show up as well? Also, it’s the last Raw for Over the Limit hype, so buckle your seatbelts!

- WWE Open.

- Triple H was walking backstage with his robot arm. He ran into Johnny Ace, who claimed he didn’t know Lesnar was going to attack Hunter. And why he jumped out of the ring? He knew Hunter wouldn’t want him to take Lesnar off him, he’d want to take him on like a man. And he did. Fantastic. Ace said Hunter has his support and sympathy. Trips was silent and Ace wondered aloud why, but Hunter said what he has to say he’ll say in front of the world. “And good luck with John Cena on Sunday,” he said before walking off.

- Raw Open.

- No fireworks, but the camera did pan the crowd as Michael Cole introduced himself and Jerry Lawler. Triple H’s music hit and he walked out. As he did, they showed Lesnar’s attack on the COO from two weeks ago. Hunter said it’s not the physical that bothers him so (he’s had worse done to him, after all!). He said he’s offended by Brock Lesnar when Lesnar said he wanted to bring legitimacy back to WWE. He said the day before Lesnar came back, he was standing in the ring being watched by the most people in WWE history, and the only thing he could think was, “gee, I wish someone could come along and make this legitimate.” He said Lesnar’s attitude offends him, Taker, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bob Backlund, Sammartino, everyone who has stepped foot in the ring. Interesting list there. Hunter said he always has been and always will be part of the WWE Universe and as a member of that Universe, Lesnar offends him.

Hunter said he regrets buying into the hype, just like he did in 2002. He thought then that Lesnar, a simple farm boy, would be the next big thing. And he did shoot right to the top of WWE. But when he got there and was challenged for the first time, when he needed to dig down to actually fight, Brock Lesnar quit. And he went to the UFC. He said he shot to the top of the UFC…except when he got there and someone kicked his ass just a little bit and he had to dig down and try to fight…Lesnar quit. This is fascinating stuff. He talked about Lesnar stepping into the ring against Cena, but Cena never quits. He complained about Lesnar making outrageous contract demands and when they said no, Lesnar does what he always does…he quits. He was going to continue, but Lesnar’s music interrupted. Out walked Paul Heyman and a man with a manila envelope.

Heyman called it “the big spin,” “damage control,” and it’s something every promoter has said when they lose their biggest star. “What” chants. Heyman said Hunter made a mistake and this is an open-and-shut case. Heyman said Lesnar entered into a binding oral contract with John Laurinaitis, but Hunter ripped it up. How can you rip up an oral contract? Heyman said Hunter brought a fighter into an entertainment company and was surprised when he wanted to fight. So Heyman served Hunter with papers (actually, the other guy did) and said Hunter is being sued for the millions he owes. Lesnar is disappointed, according to Heyman, as he was looking for a fight. Heyman said it’s good that Lesnar broke the left arm of Hunter, since the right arm will be writing the checks to Lesnar. Hunter grabbed Heyman by the face and pushed him into the corner. “What are you doing?” Heyman asked repeatedly. Hunter finally backed away and went to walk out, but told Heyman to tell Lesnar that he’s going to get everything he deserves. He tossed the papers back at Heyman as he walked out. His music played, but Heyman, from the ring, interrupted.

Heyman said Hunter screwed up again. He said Hunter put his hands on him, which is assault and battery – lawsuit number two. He said he’d see Hunter in court. I don’t really know that contract discussions and lawsuit discussions will draw money (or ratings), but that segment sure was interesting, and the verbiage of both promos were tremendous, setting aside whether or not you agreed with the direction they took.

- They showed Ace bumping into Show last week with Show doing the Ace impression and Eve catching him. Show faces Kane tonight.

- Two weeks ago, Johnny Ace attacked John Cena and made a match between them for Over the Limit. Tonight, they go face-to-face.

- CM Punk came to the ring. Highlights were shown of the handicap match involving Punk last week. Punk and Santino face Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes next.

[Commercial Break]

(1) CM Punk & Santino Marella vs. Cody Rhodes & Daniel Bryan
Bryan did his best to avoid Punk in the early going. He refused to tag Rhodes, despite Punk throwing Rhodes in the corner with the hopes he’d do so. Rhodes was sent to ringside, and Punk flipped Bryan over and onto Rhodes. Santino came in to direct traffic. Suicide dive by Punk took out both men. Santino tried it but his stomach got caught on the middle rope. The faces were in control as they went to break at 2:16.

[Commercial Break]

Back at 5:49 with the Intercontinental Champion squaring off with the United States Champion. Rhodes turned the tide to take over, then tagged Bryan, who the crowd was hot for. Bryan owned Marella, then tagged Punk, who slammed Santino then dropped a knee. Cover got two at 9:01. Cody laughed at Santino when he came up short on a tag, but he regretted that when Santino kicked him off and tagged Punk. Punk took it to Rhodes and asked Bryan to come in. He tried a GTS, but Rhodes got out. Kick ot the head of Rhodes. Bryan came in and went up for the GTS, but Bryan got out and left ringside. Rhodes got Punk from behind. Punk pushed him off and Rhodes had to avoid the Cobra by Santino – unfortunately, that took him right to Punk, who hit the GTS.

Winners: Punk and Marella, at 10:53. Rhodes got pinned by someone higher on the totem pole, but it’s still disappointing that he’s being used as a pawn to hype a PPV match. He should really have one of his own to build.

- Randy Orton takes on Chris Jericho tonight.

- Johnny Ace has an announcement that will change the future course of WWE forever. Forgive me if I don’t get all hot and bothered about that.

[Commercial Break]

(2) Alicia Fox vs. Beth Phoenix
Beth missed a punch in the corner and Fox hopped over her. Fox kicked Beth in the head, but was then run over with a clothesline. Layla came out to check out the match. Phoenix took Fox to the top rope, then pressed her over her head. She glared at Layla then dropped Fox. Glam Slam, fin.

Winner: Phoenix, at 1:20. I love Fox, but understand her role here. Beth dominating was the right call.

Beth went to do more damage, but Layla rushed into the ring. She took Beth down with a hair pull/face-plant and Beth rolled out of the ring.

- Hey, John Cena is one of the most followed superstars on Twitter AND Facebook! And he does nice things for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We saw the video of his volunteerism, along with voice-over of his article in USA Weekend.

- Orton vs. Jericho is still to come.

- They again showed the Big Show-Ace encounter from last week. Show vs. Kane also tonight and if Show doesn’t apologize to Ace, he’s fired.

[Commercial Break]

- Cole and Lawler talked on-camera about Over the Limit. Specifically, the pre-show, taking place on Facebook, YouTube, and WWE.com – everywhere but the channel the preview airs, where it should. Kane vs. Zack Ryder is the match on the pre-show Sunday.

- A video package on Big Show making fun of Ace’s voice from Raw last week and the follow-up on Smackdown aired, making it the THIRD time we’ve heard Show do Ace’s voice. This seems like such a throw-away angle for it to get this much time.

- Johnny Ace and the returning David Otunga (thermos accessory sold separately!) came to ringside for Show vs. Kane, which is next.

[Commercial Break]

(3) The Big Show vs. Kane
Go-behind by Show, then a take-down. Makes me reminisce of a strange mat-wrestling match these two guys tried to have a few years ago on Raw. Show peppered Kane’s mid-section with lefts and rights, then bealed him out of the corner. Cross-body by Kane for two. Shoulderblock put Kane down, and a clothesline did the same. Bodyslam by Show, then he went to the second rope for a Vader Bomb. He missed. Show caught Kane in a choke for the chokeslam, but Kane slugged out of it. Kane was then ushered out of the ring via the top rope. Show whipped Kane into the barricade, then speared him. Kane was tossed into the ring and Show climbed back in over the top rope. At this point, Ace got on the mic and demanded an apology now. The distraction allowed Kane to hit a chokeslam…well, kinda. Anyway, it was enough for the win.

Winner: Kane, at 4:10. It was a Kane vs. Big Show match. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Ace and Otunga got in the ring as Ace told Show to get up and talk to him like a man. Ace asked if making fun of his leader is a good move. He’s got a point there. He asked for an apology or he’d fire Show. Show said when he broke into WCW he was 23 years old and for the last 18 years, wrestling has been his life. He said there’s part of him that can walk away head held high. But the truth is, he loves what he does. He loves waking up and performing for the fans. Show said it’s about coming down the aisle and seeing the look on the kids’ faces, seeing the friendships and bonds he’s made in the back. “Big Show” chants from the fans. Show asked Ace to fine him, but not fire him. Show said he’s sorry but Ace said he didn’t hear it. Ace said the people in the cheap seats and those in the back quite heard him.

Ace said Show may have said it, but now he’s going to prove it with some begging…getting on his knees and begging, specifically. Show seemed to struggle to get up the courage to do so. He almost did, but came up just short. They showed Ace looking on with…you guessed it, a blank stare. Show finally begged, but didn’t get on his knees. He actually begged Ace not to make him get on his knees. Ace said Show disgusts him, as does everyone else who likes him. Ace said he’ll do what’s right for business, since he always does what’s right for business. He said he’ll reconsider (the firing, I presume). Ace got on the ramp and said he’s already reconsidered and mentioned Show being on the unemployment line. Before he could officially fire Show, Show interrupted. Show broke down and got on his knees, crying as he apologized for making fun of Ace’s voice and said he’d never do it again. It wasn’t enough, as Ace still wished Show the best in his future endeavors. This was WAY too long and I’m not sure what it’s supposed to accomplish. There were a few scattered “Big Show” chants at the end.

[Commercial Break]

- They replayed Show sobbing moments ago.

- The announcers talked about the segment, with Lawler sticking up for show.

(4) “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay & Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. The Miz & Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
That’s a jarring transition, from Show crying to Clay. No mash-up theme for Kofi and Truth…yet. Cole read reaction to the Show-Ace segment from the WWE Social page. As you’d expect, it wasn’t exactly groundbreaking stuff. Overhead throw by Clay. The tag champs double clotheslined Miz out and Ziggler was down too. Ziggler was holding his knee. They went to break at :58.

[Commercial Break]

Back at 4:01 with Truth locked in a Ziggler headlock. They showed AW with Primo, Epico, Rosa and Mason Ryan in a skybox in the arena. Rumors are circulating that AW is closing in on a deal to represent Ryan. Dropkick for a near-fall by Ziggler. Hot tag to Kingston, who was all over Miz. Wow, some major timing and communication issues in their exchanges. SOS for only two, broken up by Ziggler and Swagger (even though Miz’s shoulders were still down). Clay made the tag – Kingston hit the Trouble in Paradise, and it was a beauty. Then Clay landed the splash for the win.

Winners: Clay, Truth and Kingston, at 6:58. It was fine for what we saw.

After the match, everybody danced, including some kids from the crowd.

- Randy Orton faces Chris Jericho next.

[Commercial Break]

- The outside of the Consol Energey Center was shown.

- CM Punk and Alex Riley were walking backstage. AJ walked up and Riley left, telling Punk, “good luck with that.” AJ wished Punk luck but Punk said he doesn’t want to get involved in whatever is going on with her and Daniel Bryan. Punk called AJ “unstable” and walked away. AJ seemed hurt by that characterization. Does Riley and Punk hanging out again confirm that Punk put Riley up to making Jericho think Punk was drinking on that episode of Raw before Extreme Rules?

- Sheamus came out to join the commentators for the next match.

(5) Chris Jericho vs. “The Apex Predator” Randy Orton
Jericho was sent outside the ring as they went to break just over 1:00 into the match.

[Commercial Break]

Jericho had gained control of the match during the break. He then stifled an Orton comeback, and settled into a rest-hold. Back-breaker by Orton and Jericho rolled to the apron. You’d think people would stop doing that in Orton matches. Jericho back-dropped Orton to ringside, right in front of the announcers. Jericho trash-talked Sheamus, causing Sheamus to take his headset off. He thought better of an attack though, at least until Jericho tossed Orton into Sheamus. Orton got the better of Jericho back in with a rope-assisted DDT. He set up for the RKO, but Sheamus pulled Jericho out of the ring to attack him.

Winner, via disqualification: Jericho, at 8:40.

Orton was livid at Sheamus post-match. He confronted Sheamus as Sheamus tried to go to the back. They began to argue and decided to settle it in the ring. Hey, there’s FCW ref Ryan Tran to help break it up! No sign of Justin King, who botched the Beat the Clock challenge a few weeks ago. Has he been on TV since then?

- The Cena-Ace confrontation is next.

[Commercial Break]

- Ace fired Show earlier tonight. We saw a (thankfully short) clip of that.

- The announcers reacted to a Tweet Eve made during the break, where she put Sheamus against Orton on Smackdown this week.

- Johnny Ace came out. No Otunga with him. Ace wanted to say what Show couldn’t say genuinely: I’m sorry. He said he’s sorry if Cena is their favorite superstar, since it makes each and every one of them a loser. Ace said he’s better than The Rock and Brock Lesnar combined, and promised to beat Cena at Over the Limit. He called the fans loser and said there’s nothing wrong with that. If it weren’t for the losers, there wouldn’t be winners, like him. Cena’s music then interrupted and he entered the arena. Cena went up and sniffed Ace and said desperation is such a stinky cologne. He joked about Ace’s name, then made fun of his voice. Cena asked if Ace was going to fire him like he did to Big Show. “That was awful!” I concur. Cena said Ace became the undisputed king of douchebaggery (which was muted). Cena ran down Ace’s credentials since taking power, and called him a loser in an exaggerated, Jim Carrey-esque fashion. Cole and Lawler are laughing so it MUST be funny!

Cena became serious and said Ace has done all of his shenanigans in the name of People Power, but it should be Person Power because Ace is the only one benefitting. Cena polled the fans about how many people want to beat up Ace. Many did. “Yes” chants. Cena said Ace has no concept of reality. He wanted to give Ace a wake-up call right there in Pittsburgh. He said Pittsburgh is known for the Steel Curtain and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Ace said he was going to refer to the Penguins later in the promo, but Cena stole his stuff. Cena kept inserting “loser” every time Ace tried to talk. Ace admitted he was going to refer to the Penguins as losers. Cena pointed out some of the Penguins in attendance and he told them they’ll enjoy this: He took a puck out of his back pocket and told Ace to “go puck yourself.”

Ace called himself “Big John” since he’s taller than Cena and more handsome as well. Eve made her way to the ring as Ace talked about what he can do with matches as GM. Eve tried to interrupt, but Ace wasn’t having it. Finally he listened as Eve whispered in his ear and handed him a piece of paper. Cena ripped it out of Ace’s hands. It was from the WWE Board of Directors. The Directors deemed the match at Over the Limit one-on-one with no special referee and no one allowed at ringside. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission and anyone who interferes will be immediately terminated. And should Ace lose, he’ll be officially terminated. “Yes” chants from the fans. Cena’s music played, but he interrupted it and referred to Cole’s comment earlier about Ace having some big news that will change everybody’s lives. So Cena wanted to know the major announcement. Ace just slapped Cena and walked out. Cena had a serious look on his face to end things.

Ok, I'll play Cena's game. QUICK! Show of hands! Did ANY part of this show make you want to buy the PPV? The opening "Raw is Litigation" segment? The throwaway tag matches? Big Johnny making Big Show cry for 15 minutes? The ending promo that just wouldn't end? Did ANY of that make you want to plunk down money for this PPV?

Soooooo......

Any WWE Superstar that runs in during the Cena/Laurinaitis match gets terminated immediately and Big Johnny gets fired if he loses? Let's not even dwell on how dumb it is to conduct business in such a manner, because if we try to infuse logic into this, our collective heads will explode. But gee, who's the one guy that everybody keeps talking about who quit the company and therefore, technically, is NOT a WWE Superstar?

Seriously! They just telegraphed the ending of the damn match! It's a dead giveaway!

If everything unfolds like I just described in the last two paragraphs, I'm out. That'll be one insult to the intelligence too many for me.

EDIT: Hell, if Laurinaitis wins, period, I'm out. Don't tell me that Cena can conquer the $5M UFC ass-kicker and overcome everyone not named "The Rock" or "CM Punk", but can't beat a retired midcarder who happens to be the real-life VP of Talent Relations.

Good lord those Big Show and Cena segments went on forever...

I'm calling it now...Show will interfere on Johnny Ace's behalf in hopes of getting his job back. After all, you can't fire a guy who is already fired. Just ask Ric Flair.

If they do something DIFFERENT just because "it won't be what they're expecting," an entirely different set of fans will be unhappy...mainly because they ALWAYS try so hard to do something other than what everybody expects... and it usually sucks.

I'd love it if they do a good swerve for the smart fans for a change by actually having Cena win and actually having Laurinaitis go away forever as a result.

And while I'm dreaming, I'd like a tandem massage from the Bella Twins.

(False, jerichofan has it right; Show will turn heel and help Johnny win to get his job back. Highly doubt Brock will involve himself now that they're firmly building up his match with Trips via Heyman.)

What will make this even more aggravating in the end is that WWE will stick with their stupid booking even though we all guessed it IMMEDIATELY even before RAW was over, because they have this idea that we're tired of them aborting plans just because they get leaked or we guess it in advance - never mind that Jericho's Rumble win and Kharma's return at the last PPV (and going back further, Christian being Jeff Hardy's attacker) were examples of things we LIKED and WANTED but were all changed, while Show helping Laurinaitis win is something we DON'T want or like. *facepalm*

Yeah, I have to agree with that line of logic. I'm so used to the false firings that my radar went straight to the false quitting. Count me in on the "Show runs interference" train, even though the end result won't be any less dumb.

On another note, there was no mention of Tensai tonight and the stipulation's effectively written him out of the PPV. Is it too early to assume that they've given up on Lord Albert?

aaaand we're back to PG Cena. I feel like I'm the biggest loser (no pun blah blah) for thinking he'd go back to Thuganomics Cena and stay that way after Mania.

He WAS muted once, but I wasn't paying super attention to what he said (and was expecting "poopyhead" - which it COULD have been)

Except in this instance, the reference they were trying to make was something that NO kid in the audience would have gotten. The Ace Ventura stuff was clearly aimed at us.

He was muted on "douchebag". It got through the censor here in Canada, because our censors always seem to be a second or two behind the bad words.

Gotta say that I am about in the same boat as It's False. Three weeks ago, Raw sucked. Then I didn't watch Raw, heard it sucked, and deleted it off my DVR. This week, I was in a position to have it on in the background, and I was again rewarded with some of the most annoying and drawn out segments in WWE history.

I have to say that I am this close to being done with WWE for the forseeable future. To be fair, I was headed that way last year as well. It was only really CM Punk and to a lesser extent Daniel Bryan who got me back into it. Now, even they can't overcome the shittiness of everything to do with Cena, Big Johnny, and 95% of these terrible storylines.

Call me when Brock returns.

WWE on YouTube presents David Otunga in "Court Reporter", his daily wrap-up of events in the 'Lesnar v WWE' and 'Heyman v H' lawsuits?

- - - - - - - -

Santino was hilarious with his antics tonight, coming up just a razor-thin four feet short on the hot tag. Punk is certainly delivering on his promise to make the WWE Championship fun. Too bad neither Punk or Bryan can talk, unlike the trusted hands given the three 15-minute promofests we got tonight with HHH, Ace, Show and Cena.

Is PG Cena just Cena not swearing (much), or the insufferable, grinning, coasting-on-his-act, I sweat nothing, wild-and-whacky goober who returned tonight? I'm trying to remember if I saw that Make-a-Wish fluff piece last week on Raw or SmackDown - between that, and having Ace made sure to call all the fans losers right before Cena came out, I bet there was concern backstage that there would be audible Divorce-themed chants.

And I'd have suggested that 'firing' Show was just part of the effort to make sure Ace had so much heat that no one in the stands would go after Cena.. but like everyone else, the 'Show is fired so he can be the non-employee to help out Ace' foreshadowing on Sunday was just so ham-handed. They aren't wasting one of Brock's 3-5 PPVs on a surprise run-in.

Of course following the logic they went with, there's no reason for Ace not to get relieved of his duties on the Raw after Over the Limit (win, lose or draw).

Yeah, about that. Now since the "board" has put in a 'lose and you're fired' stip on Johnny, OBVIOUSLY when Big Show interferes and Ace wins, everything he did up till then is forgotten for discipline purposes. (Like Cole never got a proper comeuppance for all his dickery.) Make it a perfect 10 of 10 for silly logic.

Tensai was notable for his total absence from the show. And HHH talking about Lesnar 2002 and his walking-out on the company? Is this selling a SummerSlam match for anyone? Show of hands??

The comforting thing about the May Malaise (or May-laise) is that it means the annual June Surprise is right around the corner! Unless ... what if the June surprise came early and it was really Lesnar in April? Incredible first angle doing something vengeful to John Cena, then within a few weeks, the WTF booking call that completely takes the edge off? oh no. JUUUUUUUUUUUNE SURPRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE

I dunno, I have full faith there'll be a screwy finish, but not on account of Big Show.

I understand that WWE isn't in the business of booking shows for me, but c'mon. They go from the insanely awesome Extreme Rules PPV to this garbage in only 3 weeks? I'm already set to watch the PPV at a friend's house on Sunday, but, unless the show is another home run, after that I'm back to skimming recaps and reaction threads before investing any more time into watching WWE shows.

DB and slowly-turning-psycho AJ are the only characters I am remotely interested in right now.

When the show starts with HHH burying their $5 million investment, you have to wonder at what point is devaluing Lesnar no longer up valuing WWE. That promo was a money killer thankfully, Heyman came in to spin the damage control and HHH is again out of his depths as a corporate entity which he is both on TV and backstage if they think jobbing out Lesnar and then verbally throwing dirt on him is a good idea. The current rumor is HHH/Lesnar for June instead of SummerSlam, why I have no idea other than WWE has zero confidence in the rest of their roster to carry the company til SummerSlam.

I am interested in the Fatal Fourway and a larger extent Punk/Bryan. Yet, I have zero desire to see Cena/Laurantis for a couple of reasons. One, its going to be a terrible match. Two, they telegraphed the ending with Show. Three, the fire stipulation should be when Punk faces Big Johnny. Lastly, this storyline should never have had Cena in it. My wife asked me how long the Laurantis thing was going to last and I said maybe SummerSlam, but truthfully I can see it going all the way to Mania. I even brought up that they never really ended Austin/Vince. I don't think she should be dropping F-bombs while holding the baby.

I do agree Show went on too long, but it was a good promo by Show and I did feel for the guy. The rest of the show was there. They really did nothing to sell you on the PPV. The terrible part of this PPV is if you don't buy it, WWE will blame Punk/Bryan, if you do buy it they will think HHH's promo along with Cena/Laurantis is what got you in. Then run more of that. Its a damned if you don, damned if you don't situation.

Speaking of damned, Bella Twins are replacing Rey for Wizard World Philly. One future HOF Mexican Legend = Two smoking hot adequate female wrestlers.

The Show promo was great stuff, and they picked exactly the right guy to do this angle with. Show is up there with the best in the company as far as selling stuff like this. I just wish to God they'd cut down on Ace's presence throughout the show. The end segment dragged on forever, and I didn't even mind Cena's goofy mocking of him. It was just a whole lot of nothing - a RAW opening talkfest masquerading as a main-event talkfest.

Lotsa faces going over for a PPV lead-in show. Thinking Bryan might do the unthinkable and upset Punk.

Because of a recent weekend vacation, I haven't watched WWE for more than a few minutes (the SD main event last week), and what I'm reading here makes me want to stay away for a while.

I'm curious, in the current version of history as told by WWE, who was the challenge that chased Brock out of wrestling. HHH certainly phrased it as if it was an opponent who chased him out as opposed to being tired of the travel schedule, but I don't know who they expect us to mentally slot into that position.

That closing segment was a major drag. It went on forever and was Cena at his least interesting. Kind of amazing that they (apparently) spent $5M on Brock AND shifted the Ace feud completely over to Cena all in an effort to get people to finally be OK with Cena again only to immediately have him go back to the character/style that got people against him in the first place. Cena doing that interminable "lllloooser" bit only to step on the actual payoff (Ace calling the Penguins "losers") and completely blow it was unforgiveable. Big Johnny = better timing and comic chops than John Cena, no question.

Disappointed that Jericho/Orton is kind of a throwaway match instead of a blood feud, though I did like parts of the segment, like Jericho throwing Orton into Sheamus (Sheamus sold that nicely) and Jericho escaping the guillotine DDT by scrambling into the ring. The Guillotine DDT move really needs to be someone's finisher, not a transition move.

Anyway, my favorite part of that segment was an irate Orton yelling "THAT WAS MY W!" at Sheamus at the end. They have a major, major problem with wins and losses on the weekly shows (and really, on PPV undercards) being completely meaningless at this point, *but* I totally buy that Orton keeps a log of his W-L record, and would maybe even have himself in a WWE Fantasy League. (The other people in his league are the Voices In His Head and, I don't know, maybe Ted Jr.. The Snake God Randy worships has Santino in the fantasy league.)

June Surprise: Only 3 HHH 15 minute opening Raw monologues instead of 4.

Next week on Raw: Santino comes out at the end of the show and solemnly announces "Darth-a Tensai's plane was shot down over the Sea of Japan. It went into the spin cycle. There were-a no survivors."

So what was Johnny Ace's "WWE altering" surprise anyways? Is there going to be payoff for this...or are we supposed to assume his announcement was the naming of a special guest referee/timekeeper/skateboard holder?

Also, part of me thinks the Big Show angle could be the WWE's way of scrambling to get Ace some muscle who is actually over with the crowd after the Lord Tensai thing didn't exactly take off.
