At halftime of the Pistons/Bulls game in Auburn Hills on April 1, the Pistons will retire the #10 jersey of Dennis Rodman, who averaged 8.8 PPG and 11.5 RPG in 549 games as a Piston.
He won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1990 and 1991, and helped the Pistons win back-to-back titles in '89 and '90.
Pistons rookie Greg Monroe currently wears #10 but will be allowed to keep it.
A fitting tribute for a great playing career, even if the guy was nutty as a fruitcake. It's also fitting that it should happen when the Bulls are in town. I wonder if Chicago will follow suit in the future.
