I can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere so I am putting this out to my fellow dubyas. I am haven't been able to get my internet hooked up for my 360 yet to regain access to my XBL account due to the need to buy some new hardware (router and adapter). I recently got NHL '09 and the roster for my favorite team (the Blues...stop laughing), does not have any of the highly touted rookies on the team for this year. I was wondering if there are roster updates available online for the game, or if I'm going to have to go through the pain in the ass of creating the players myself. Again, they don't seem to have any info about this at the EA website (unless I missed it) so my fear is they don't but I am hoping someone else here has the game and could tell me for sure.

Rookies are added via roster updates. I don't know for sure if they've done one yet for NHL 09, but I'd presume that they have, since we're two months into the season now.
They're usually not overly generous with rookie stats, so the better Blues rookies are still probably only 75-80 Overall at most. Carey Price, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane from last year's game only wound up being 82-85 Overall. Of course, players with those stats can still fit perfectly well into your team, and they'll just get better as your franchise goes along.

The only rookie listed on the team is Andrew Wozniewski. I notice Cam Paddock is listed on the AHL team.
Actually I wanted it for TJ Oshie and Patrik Berglund. I talked to a guy at the Blues game last night who told me how to get the updated rosters (play an online game, which makes you download rosters, quit the game, save, and when you are offline you will have new rosters). Thanks to everyone for your help.

Is it the same as Madden? For Madden you could go online to play an opponent and download a roster update, but they didn't keep the rosters updated - it was a one-time thing about halfway through the preseason, IIRC.
