Having said that, though, this would be unspeakably awesome!
If it's true, of course...

| #5 Posted on 12.2.07 1738.59 Reposted on: 12.2.14 1740.22 | Well I think this is much smarter casting as Banner than Eric Bana, who was totally mis-cast in the role. Bana was essentially doing Hugh Jackman/Wolverine-lite with the character.
We lost Banner the scientist, the bookworm, the nerd, and puny/scrawny Banner! Banner is not a freaking beefcake like Bana was for the role.
So from my understanding is that this isn't a sequel, and it's essentially a restart. It's really the best way to go, but it's going to be a tough battle after the poor reception of the first movie.
Look how hard Batman Begins had to work to overcome the stench of Batman and Robin as well as Catwoman.
My main concern is this, can they find the right medium between making this a competent drama as well as an entertaining action film, and a good comic book adaptation? Something I feel the first movie failed with in every direction.
Leterrier, I'm not sure how much confidence I have with him handling this material. I feel this time around instead of the movie being a heavy drama, it will just be a dumb, stupid action movie. Avi Arad for a long time talking about how this will be "Diet Hulk" doesn't instill me with much hope. | Deputy Marshall

That being said, the article itself was posted by "Moriarty" in an e-mail he received from a "first-time source." It might be true, but I'm taking this with a bit more than a grain of salt.
