Well, Jim Leyland (sports.yahoo.com) is the first new manager hired this offseason. I thought maybe he was a better choice than Manual for the Phillies last season. It'll be interesting to see what he can do with the Tigers. Just how far away are they from being a good team? I don't get to see much of the AL (besides Yanks/Sox).

I think Jim Tracy would be a good fit in Pittsburgh. It seemed like he wasn't the one who should have been fired from the Dodgers, as it seems like the crappy moves the GM made lead to the Dodgers demise, not so much the manager's job. Some reports have him as being the frontrunner for that job.

Also of note, John Hart stepped down as the GM of the Rangers. So long, architect of the Tribe run of the 90's!

If Tracy ends up with the Pirates, man, what a fall.
