I don't understand all the backlash against him lately. Here's a guy who was one of the Internet's favourites but now he's one of the most hated. Sure his character is stale, but thats because he never gets any mic time, and the few times he has, he's shown some charisma (Al Wilson impressions)...

Maybe Hogan can job to him again and give him the rub...

His work, his moves, his matches are INCREDIBLY stale. You could pull at tape out of any of his matches post-Flock and find that he's doing the exact same moves he's doing today. (While in the Flock, he happened to scratch himself more.)

None of the WCW character alterations stuck, and WWE hasn't really tried to do much with hyping his personality (except for the week they hyped his love of JET SKIS) and just stuck with pushing the one remarkable move he does.

If you haven't been watching Kidman as long, it probably doesn't bug you as much and he's capable of turning in a good match (and still does so time to time because at least he's facing new people) but to those who have seen him for a long time, he's extremely repeatitve and tiresome.

And that stupid powerbomb reversal sucks.

You forgot to mention his lame imitation of Al Wilson.

I like his new theme, though.

I'm very much in agreement with Cubs and have been for AGES.

When I was getting big into WCW, I was in love with the Cruiserweights. Rey, Juvi, Psychosis, Eddie, Malenko, and the rest. I really enjoyed Kidman at first - but something always struck me as odd about him. After watching him about a dozen times it clued in that the problem was the fact he's sold as a BIG HIGH FLYING SPOT MACHINE and does NOTHING off the top rope aside from a shooting star press. And unlike Dean Malenko, he does not have any ground based moves to back himself up.

Kidman finally lost all sense of REMOTELY standing out amongst everyone else when he abandoned the wife beater and jean shorts. For those of us who have been watching him for the last 5 or 6 years, there's simply nothing left for us to see from Kidman. Many workers evolve. Kidman seems content getting a push every little while based on his BIG SPINNY MOVE that the boss' son can do.

The genious of the 3-hour Nitro vs. 2-hour RAW is that you could watch the first hour (the Cruiserweights) and then flick over and watch RAW for the rest of the was AWESOME!

Heck, they had so many good cruiserweights. Super Calo, El Dandy, Psychosis, Chavo, Rey, Eddy, Jericho, Malenko, Ultimo Dragon, Kidman... What a roster!

I wouldn't worry about Kidman. He was injured last night and I don't think we'll be seeing a lot of him.

I personally feel bad for the guy. We all talk shit about him, but he's ten times the wrestler Nathan Jones or fucking Albert will ever be. He also has very little charisma, but, again, neither do Jones or Albert, who have been stuck into a match at WRESTLE-FUCKING-MANIA which they, and more specifically, Nathan Jones in particular, do not in any way, shape, or form deserve.

I didn't know my fellow wieners also felt this way about Kidman.

One thing that really annoyed me from Kidman was on confidential they were talking about best finishers and interviewed him and he said he likes his finisher because it's the "one time he knows he's going to get a reaction". And he kind of talked about it like it's okay that the only over thing about him is that one flashy move.

He's not awful by any means. But I look at him as a X-pac waiting to happen. So much potential but doesn't look like he might not be able to fulfill it.

He's got no character in there, he has very little that makes his distinct and stand out (except for his finisher) which most wrestlers have. His entire persona is just there.

He'll never be in my worst list, but he is close to the top in my disappointed list.
