I must say it's kinda lame to see Foley come back to ref a match of such *magnitude* (he is ref'in this thing right because the end of Raw made it seem like he was the one feuding with Triple H). Seriously this match is going to be a disaster maybe on par with Kennel in a Cell. I guess everyone has their price though right (book promotion?).

Can Foley, Flair, Orton and maybe Michaels do anything to save this match? Is over booking this thing Vince Russo style the only way to save this match? Is this quite possibly the worst WWE PPV main event in years?

Well, they stuck Foley in there because they know Nash isn't going to sell any more tickets. Flair / Michaels and Jericho / Goldberg are selling the card. Putting Foley in there makes for a more interesting main event.

(Why they didn't just take Nash out of there is another matter entirely.)

I don't think it will be the worst PPV main event in years. Hunter and Nash are going to bust their ass to prove people wrong (in as much as Nash can bust ass). Even without Mick I thought this match would be at least watchable. He'll add some shenanagins and reluctantly count the pin fall. Maybe he'll get into an exchange with Hunter to give Big Daddy a chance to catch his breath.

I agree... this won't even be the worst PPV main event of this year (remember HHH-Steiner, part 1?). HHH can still go if motivated, and Nash can still brawl, which is pretty much all they're going to be doing in the cell anyway. If there's a holy shit bump, my money's on Foley taking it.

Only problem is that disaster was not the main event, as the Royal Rumble match was the main event. The reason to watch this match is to find out the manner by which Nash injures himself. I say Nash teases climbing up the cage, only to tear a muscle/blow out a knee in the process.

I didn't mind the Kennel from Hell match. Sure, the gimmick was really fucking stupid. But, Snow and Bossman worked around it enough and made it entertaining enough to be at least watchable.

However, I have a feeling that Hunter/Nash will NOT be watchable. Maybe Foley can have another DVD with this as an extra, so he and Kevin Kelly can rip into it, like Kennel from Hell. Now THAT would be entertaining.

Yeah, I don't think this match will be all that bad. For one, our expectations are so low going in that it can't possibly hit them. If you've got an extra ten minutes tomorrow and want to try and enjoy the main event, I'd suggest watching the Bossman HIAC from WM XV. I guarantee the Nash match won't look half as bad as it otherwise would.

I also get the feeling that HHH is going to bust ass and get whatever he can out of this. Not only is his rep going to be called into question if he and his buddy stink it up yet again, but he's about to embark on (I would imagine) two months of hardcore campaigning to keep from doing the job at SummerSlam. If he's got too many stinkers under his belt going into that feud - and this would make #3 so far this year - he's not going to have as much leverage as he otherwise would. Being able to say "hey, look what I got out of Nash" in reference to the Bad Blood match might be his best bet.

If this was truly Kennel in a Cell II, it would require dogs around the ring. And Ric Flair and Randy Orton are NOT dogs.

I predict Foley goes heel and lets HHH win. Hey, it would be shocking.

If Nash tears a muscle in his ass trying to climb the cell... I'll never get tired of any of the jokes recycled thousands of times on this board ever again.

Hey, ive pulled a muscle in my ass and it hurt like hell, shit, before i pulled it i didnt know i had a muscle in my ass. But thats a diffrent story. I think Foley is gunna end up going threw another table and wont count anyone out for like an hour when he finaly wakes up. HHH wins. Oh, and by the way, how many people have RAW pulled out of retirement to contend for the title with HHH? There was michaels, steiner, nash. jesus, whos next? i know MARK HENRY!! oh and that whos next reminded me off Goldberg. He'll b going 4 the title soon.

As silly as this sounds, I personally LOVED Kennel in a Cell. I remember my son was really, really little at the time, and got all upset over the "Pepper Steak", and me laughing as I was telling him, "No honey. They're kidding. The SPCA wouldn't let them really do that."
Then we go to Toys R Us the next day, and I end up laughing with another mother in line who's daughter did the same thing!
I love Al Snow. He's insane.

The only reason I'm watching this show is because I want to see what happens with Foley, and I think it's nice of them to bring him back for my birthday. I've been wearing the same stupid Mankind keychain for about three years now, so it's about time.
I know that this is all some kind of set-up to renew Triple H's credibility, as in "See? I can beat up real wrestlers too, not just washed up ones!"
But yeah, I agree with Notorious FAB that Foley's going to play the same kind of role Jericho did in the Elimination Chamber match - filler in between for Triple H- so that the other guy (Nash) doesn't have to work so hard.
Not that I don't think Michaels is about 100 X's better than Nash, but he was just coming back at that time. Hope you know what I mean.

And as far as Flair and Orton are concerned, why the heck does Triple H ALWAYS need a posse? If it's not DX or the Kliq, it's Chyna or Steph!
Rock don't need one. Austin don't need one. Foley don't need one. Heck, even RVD don't need one.
When are they gonna realize that this guy just isn't what they try to promote him to be?

THANK YOU!

I always read these really negative posts about the Kennel in a Cell match, and I really don't think it was that bad. I DO think the gimmick was stupid. But Snow and Bossman did a great job of working around it, and actually made it somewhat enjoyable. It's far from the worst match of all time, and is even far from being the worst Hell in a Cell of all time ('Taker/Bossman, anyone?).

How about this? I was busy in school at the time of the Kennel from Hell. I didn't know the whole story, so when I saw the pepper steak, I thought, "Pepper steak? Sounds good!" My mom had something similar to that (with real pepper and real beef steak) a few days before, so that's what I thought they meant. How was I supposed to know there was a dog named Pepper when The chinese place had pepper steak?!

I'm surprised no one has gone so far as to try and make a lame joke about "Big Poochie" and a Kennel.
And seeing as how some people are coming clean on the original Kennel in a Cell match, let me just say that I ordered that original pay per view BECAUSE of that match. The idea just seemed so unique to me, I had to see what was up. I did enjoy it in my own sick and twisted way, due to Al and not Big Bossman of course.
