Best ep so far this season. Just an absolute showcase once again for Rainn Wilson, who if he doesn't get a Best Supporting/Comedy nominee later this year, it would be just criminal. Between Roll Dick Roll, Crow love, Crane-kicking signs, having his #1 toady status threatened by Ryan the Temp, Everybody Hurts, his burnt pita dance and his ode to Billy Joel he was all over this.
The best part is that the US version more and more seems to be finding its own voice away from the UK version. This is a good thing and it's getting to the point where I love them both for their own distinctive reasons.

I am a House fan but since baseball has been on I have tuned into the Earl/Office hour and I say I might have to tape House now. The Office Episode made me laugh throughout. Good stuff. Look forward to next week.

So I don't want to sound stupid, but Pam's boyfriend works at Dunder-Mifflin? I thought he was a delivery guy or something but it appears he works in shipping? He's the "You guys are all gay" guy, right? Because it shocked the hell out of me when she kisssed him at the end.
Am I missing something? I missed a couple episodes, so that may be it.
Otherwise, this was hands-down the funniest episode yet. I thought the Olympics was great, but this FLEW by. Everyone saying "Pam!" on the "Who would you do?" question floored me, because I spent last night with some co-workers and very much the same thing happened.
But it was the little touches, like poor Kevin sitting sadly by while the women named off every other man in the office, that made this episode.
And, of course, the dessert of the "Ryan started the fire" at the end. The fact that Dwight would STILL be brandishing the pita during his later interview absolutely killed me.

Yeah, he does. "Basketball" from the first season establishes it. That must have been one of the ones you missed. In that episode they have an inter-company basketball game with the office workers vs the shipping department.

I'm pretty sure they mentioned it during the Pilot episode, and certainly after that, but we only *saw* Roy in the Basketball ep.
