Yes, Goldberg has signed with Hockey Gladiators, the fledgling Pay Per View hockey fight event. From today's edition of the Winnipeg Sun..
'Huge signing for us'
Fighting is the raison d'etre of Gladiators -- worth $100,000 US to the winner and scheduled for Aug. 27 and 28 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
In the biggest signing to date, (Darryl) Wolski and his partner Mike Davidson have inked World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Goldberg to a deal, The Sun has learned.
Goldberg, one of the headliners in Wrestlemania this Sunday in New York, has been confirmed as a colour commentator for the Gladiators play-by-play team.
"After a fight happens, he'll throw his two cents in," Wolski explained. "He is a huge signing for us."
Wolski, who has booked close to 20 goons to drop the gloves in the knock-down contest, said he is also in negotiations with former wrestler and former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura and comedian Dennis Leary to sign on as commentators.
So, good fit? Does this mean he's definitely out after Wrestlemania? Or should this have been posted in the Hockey folder?

The first half of the story, which I didn't copy over (but which you can find on canoe.ca) actually dealt with the Bertuzzi incident, and how it would impact the Hockey Gladiators show. I don't plan on ordering it myself, I think it's rather silly, but I figured Goldberg's involvement, as well as the possible addition of Jesse Ventura down the road, was worth saying here.
