Hi. I am a planning a trip to a certain wrestling event in Chicago March/April next year. While I'm there, I'd like to visit some friends in Wisconsin. The problem is I don't have their phone numbers anymore. Is there a service that can give you that info? There is such a thing in Sweden, where I live where you just call a company and they'll give you that number, so I was wondering if they're something similar in the US. If so, is name enough, or do I need to know town, state et cetera) I really only know what town they lived in five years ago. Obviously I don't have Wisconsin phonebooks here. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Wisconsin's phone company is SBC - unfortunately, they don't seem to have much in the way of online listings - their online "SmartPages" white pages (whitepages.com) are just a rebranded version of the whitepages.com page, where they're more interested in getting you to PAY for stuff than find listings for free. Still, you might get lucky if your friends are pretty close to wherever you remember them, and if they're not unlisted. Good luck!

http:\\www.anywho.com works well too...unless your friends have very common names, and/or have unlisted numbers.

Good luck!

Considering there are a few of us who are regulars from Wisconsin here, maybe you could post the cities you're interested in, and see if we can help.

PMs always work, too.
