And so we get treated to our second LOST regular to pop over. Anyone else find it funny that the former Cassidy was playing a Kate (well, Katie) of all names? Still, my favorite guest casting of the night goes to Gina Torres as Olivia's friend and the chief's wife.
This episode actually felt more tempered, as though maybe now we can start to settle down and let things play out properly.
It was good to see Mark continue to rush in with his flawed vision logic only for the Nazi to beat him. Geyer knew that Mark would buy his ploy because he was free on 4/29. If anything, the more damaging results of revealing his flashforward may have been to allow Jerome to become a customs agent. Of course, the fact that the crow theory appears to be playing out diminishes my hopes that Mark will stop believing everything he saw on that board is a valid lead.
I like how Demetri is handling the news of his impending demise. We didn't see all of Zoey's vision, so I'm wondering if she knows that Demetri is hiding what he didn't see.
Janice's outing was clunky, but I guess necessary information given her birthing plotline. The speed with which the chief's wife admits to seeing a kid she didn't know and then sees the kid was clunky too.
Given how little of her body was recovered, according to Aaron in the pilot, I wouldn't be surprised if the casket contained only her leg. It will be interesting to see how he goes from having no logical reason to believe Tracy's alive to finding her wherever she is.
I wouldn't have marked To Sheila as a song for making love. If I'm Mark I'd be thinking I should spend as much time getting with Olivia as I can since I'll apparently lose her shortly.
I liked the use of the chief in this episode. His eulogy used "worth a damn" a little too much but it was overall appropriate.
The tower with the dead ravens was creepy at the end. We're not quite at "OMG is it Thursday yet???" territory, but that was a good step in the right direction. Overall, a better episode. Not perfect, but better.
