Yep, there they are. Let me know if you're accessing the board from a different country than the computer thinks you are.

What's the purpose of these? Just to make sure that the computer is getting address locations of IP's right?

Or are you trying to foster a US v. Canada war?

Mostly to see if I could do it. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing more people from outside the USA logging on and maybe seeing some other flags might coax some people into participating.

How about state flags? That would be pretty cool.

Well, all the AOL people would end up with Virginia flags, for example.

Alright then, bad idea.

The national flags are still a great idea, though.

Cool concept. Could the flags maybe move down to the bottom of the "user attributes" section (rather than the top)? Maybe its just my eyes (or monitor, or glasses) but the brightness of the r/w/b or r/w flags messes with the pastel pink/blue/green/coral/canary of the user names. (This may be particularly for those of us who run in the less colour-rich dial-up mode.)

Can I have a New England Patriots flag or a pirate flag?

I like living in the US and everything, but I'm not sure I dig all the US flags all over every thread. I'm not sure why that is.

I guess it's a good way to see who is lying around here though.

I agree with moving to the bottom...or maybe into the space above the posts. It doesn't look balanced where it is. OCD is setting in, and I'm about to go nuts.

The problem with the bottom is it's not much different from the top...it'll STILL be close to the name at the top of the post right UNDER it. And, there's a potential for confusion since the "wrong" flag might be directly above a name. I tried two or three places but this was the best one - also, the flags were originally four times bigger (check any profile to see what I'm talking about) but I ended up shrinking them to 25% (16 pixels high) - they're not THAT bad and I'm pretty sure you'll get used to them...
