AIM: # 1 Posted on 17.5.06 1626.28 Reposted on: 17.5.13 1626.34 Yeah, it sounds odd to me too, but according to Meltzer (wrestlingobserver.com) The Sci-Fi Network is preparing a press release that will be released once either Vince or Linda McMahon approve the wording. It is expected to be released within the next week, possibly before Raw on Monday, and unless there is a late change, ECW will start on the network with a weekly time slot in mid-to-late June. This certainly can't hurt the relaunch attempt I would think. Promote this thread!

And Sci-Fi is apart of the NBC-owned cable networks. Could be worse, ECW could have ended-up on MSNBC or Bravo.

AIM: # 4 Posted on 17.5.06 1655.25 Reposted on: 17.5.13 1656.25 That's pretty huge news. It'll help the Sci-Fi network, being the home of WWE-owned programming. Now let's wait and see if they decide to give ECW its own day of taping...

According to Between the Ropes Joey Styles will not be alone at the commentary table. He will be joined by Taz. This is great news for ECW, even though Joey would've been fine on his own, but horrible news for Smackdown. Smackdown may be the C show now. Supposedly they've already hinted towards Taz leaving by having Taz and Cole get into an argument, to which Taz said something along the lines of "well you're not as good as Joey Styles" but I don't watch Smackdown so I haven't seen it myself. Also it looks like there are tryouts being held for the open Smackdown spot, which is a relief at first I feared they would give it to Coachman.

I heard it (on the Smackdown right after Joey quit, IIRC), and to me, it sounded like Tazz was being sarcastic, making fun of Joey for thinking he's all that as an announcer. I didn't take it as disrespect of Cole at all.
