This was the most, in all of Community, that I've liked Britta. Malcolm-Jamal Warner is pretty great as a voice of reason among the chaos. Ken Jeong brings crazy, but I still kind of miss him as a teacher. Oh, and Jeff is looking more and more like Justin Bieber - I'm sad that I know that.

"There's a difference between telling us a guy is into nipple-play, and telling us a guy makes hats out of babies!"

I laughed a lot - so I'll forgive the lack of Alison Brie.

So rumor has it that they're saving some really great stuff for the last few episodes of the season.

Oh, and Parks & Recreation was really great as well.

I've always liked Britta but I think this is the episode she should submit for the Emmy she'll never be nominated for. She was grand. Alison Brie is excellent on this show but she has the advantage of getting to go cute a lot of the time -- whereas Britta is prone to dorking out and doing weird, uncool physical comedy. Her rendition of "Hit Me With Your Genie's Bottle" was special, but I was most impressed by the way she took a line like "maybe we do" and read it in this awesome overly-subtle slow-motion, turning some nondescript bit of dialogue into the best part of the show. With that and her 'dramatic' reversals during the Kickmuncher denouement ("You don't suppose-- However..."), she's playing Britta as someone thinking she's being smooth & sneaky but totally incapable of pulling it off. I loved it.

The highlight of the episode for me was easily the sweatshirts they made after paintball last year with, "It's all downhill from here" on the back.

She looks terrible lately. It looks like she lost about 15 pounds since last season. Her face is drawn and she's got giant bags under her eyes like she's been on an 8 week coke binge. There were a couple of close ups that were just plain disturbing. She went from very attractive to played out in just a few months.
