Wow. I've been complaining about a lack of stuff lately, but this week just had a ton waiting for me. The big one, I guess, is Legion of Three Worlds. I thought it was fairly enjoyable for the first issue, but I had some complaints with it. Mostly its stuff people have been saying elsewhere, but the one thing that really seems to be bothering me is in the big splash pages toward the end, where they show the other two Legions. The splash of the reboot Legion has a bunch of characters in it who weren't on the team at the same time, like having both Kid Quantums in it. It also shows the changes that had happened to Sensor and Kinetix, but not the changes to Livewire. I mean, I know this is really nitpicky stuff, but for some reason it just worries me about how that Legion is going to be depicted in this mini. Still, it's a decent first issue, and with any luck the rest of the series should be solid.

Other than Legion, Captain America is building toward a pretty satisfying finish. The thing is, maybe in ten years (should they prove able to stick to this direction for that long) I might be convinced that Bucky is a worthy successor to the legacy of Captain America. But for right now, I just cannot buy him as anything but keeping the spot warm for Steve. I'm still holding out hope that Steve will be back by #50.

The only other thing that really caught my attention this week is in X-Factor. Stroman's art is so bad, I cannot believe someone is paying him to draw professionally. It is, in my opionion, the worst artwork I have ever seen in a comic book.

I would guess issue #75 might be more realistic for Steve's return. Bru has built up to Bucky taking over the mantle since issue #1, pretty much. As long as the stories are this good, I don't care either way. As long as the higher ups don't force his return, ala Peter Parker/Ben Reilly.
