RoH had their first Chicago show last night with one of the highlights being the hometown return of CM Punk.

Wait a sec. CM Punk?

I thought TNA pulled all of their contracted talent from future RoH shows. Styles? Gone. Daniels? Gone. Low Ki? Gone. Punk? Still there.

So what does this mean? Did CM Punk never sign a contract with TNA? Have TNA and Punk gone their separate ways? Exactly what is the situation on this one?

I know Punk has close ties with RoH. He is head trainer at their school, so perhaps he has some clause in his contract with TNA that allows him to continue working for RoH. He is still listed on the roster at www.nwatna.com

I don't know how up to date it is but on the superstars page of the TNA website lists CM Punk as an active member of the TNA roster.

Here is the link http://www.nwatna.com/ superstars/main_stars.shtml

EDIT: Jonny got there first, sorry.

I thought Punk got into an aruguement with Teddy Hart and that cost him his job with NWA TNA. Is this true or not

He's still employed with TNA, but the incident with Hart didn't exactly endear him to the company (especially since they are currently trying to get Teddy under contract).

The fact that he and hart got into it really didn't make either of them more popular, but people dislike hart alot more than punk so i dont think they really have a prob with him. As for he doin the ROH shows last night, he is the head trainer, and I would imagine that as long as he isn't appearing on TNA on a weekly basis, they really don't have too much of a problem.

Only people under contract to TNA are prohibited from working ROH. AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, Raven and the others signed two year contracts.

Punk is on a paid-per-show deal, so no restrictions apply. If they ever signed him to a full time deal (which doesn't seem likely right now), he'd have to choose between TNA and ROH, and seeing as he's running ROH's school and seemingly the Midwest Promoter, he may have already made that decision.

Punk was indeed signed to the contract everybody else signed. He has refused to stop working the ROH shows though, and since TNA wasn't really using him anyway, they're not exactly going to make a big deal out of it. It's possible that they've ended his contract in the last week or so, but as of a couple weeks ago, he still had a contract.

TNA pretty much stopped using CM Punk's tag team after the Hart fight.
