ROH's next iPPV "Border Wars" on May 12th looks amazing so far. I think you should give it a try.

Hype video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlZBq4bHnzQ&sns=em

From www.rohwrestling.com:

"We are pleased to announce that “Border Wars”, and all our future iPPV events, will be seen right here at ROHWrestling.com!

Starting immediately, you can now pre-order “Border Wars” right here for only $14.95 AND if you’re a Ringside Member, you will also get your 15% discount on the purchase as well!

Border Wars is shaping up to be one of our biggest yet ... So place your pre-order now and take a look at the line-up:

ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

*Steen’s Only Title Opportunity*

Davey Richards defends his championship against "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen

It’s a battle of two of the toughest individuals in ROH as “The American Wolf” defends his belt against Kevin Steen on Kevin’s home turf. This is Steen’s one-and-only World Title opportunity per the contract both men signed, and as a result, you can bet both men will pull out all the stops!

SPECIAL ATTRACTION

ROH World TV Champion Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini vs. "Belfast Bruiser" Fit Finlay

Fit Finlay is one of the most world-traveled individuals in pro wrestling and his toughness is legendary. Roderick Strong is one of the hardest hitting men in ROH and only the 2nd Triple Crown winner in company history. This is a battle that is going to leave both men battered & bruised….

FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR FOR THE ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)

The blood between these four men is as bad as it gets with both teams freely abusing the rules to get advantage over each other over the past few months. Steel chairs have become a common weapon with the human skull a frequent target, and now it all boils down to one of ROH’s most dangerous stipulations: the rivalry ending Fight Without Honor! No rules, no holding back, just four men fighting it out over the World Tag Titles!

SHOWDOWN IN THE SUN - REMATCH

"Canadian Icon" Lance Storm vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett w/ Brutal Bob

CHALLENGE MATCH

"Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. "The Man Beast" Rhino w/ Truth Martini

SPECIAL ATTRACTION

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. Adam Cole

GRUDGE MATCH

Jay Lethal vs. "The Dominant Male" Tommaso Ciampa w/ The Embassy Ltd.

Also scheduled to appear:

- The All Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus)

- Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson)"

"Technical Lightning" TJ Perkins and The ANX vs. "No Fear" Mike Mondo and The Young Bucks. (esp. TJP and Mondo are great as of late)

There's a lot of Truth Martini on the card...which is a good thing. He's magic on the mic.

Tried. Can't log in to my account, can't give them my money. And judging from Twitter, those that paid up early aren't having any more luck. This, for their biggest show of the year. If this isn't resolved in a hurry, it could be pretty disastrous for ROH.

That's... certainly an opinion.

Martini is the only reason I fast-forward ROH. In fact, all the ROH managers are weak -- Bob Evans is a joke, literally, and the Embassy's prince has done nothing since Sinclair bought ROH. Only Maria has worked the way a ringside aide is supposed to, and she's there to make the crowd hate Mike Bennet.

Well, there is no accounting for taste - I love Truth Martini and - and while I can't remember the name of their lawyer slash spokesman, he's hilarious.

What a Fantastic show, from top to bottom.

Hot opener, with Rhino, losing when Truth Martini causes a distraction, allowing Edwards to roll him up.

Post match, Rhino gets ready to kill Martini, but when Martini brings out a wad of cash, Rhino relents.

ANX + Technical Lightning, Defeat the Bucks and Mondo, in an outstanding Tag match, with the finish, being an outstanding Double team, Blockbuster Bomb, followed by a 450 Splash, allowing Perkins to pin i think it was Matt Jackson.

Third match of the night, Ciampa loses to Lethal, after a TEN POINT Lethal Combination. TONS of near falls in this match, with each competitor, kicking out of MULTIPLE Finishers.

Ciampa really channeled a defiant Stone Cold during this match, playing the role to a tee.

Lance Storm, defeats Mike Bennet, using a steel chair, big pop for Storm, and he got Serious for a moment post match, setting up most likely, a third match.

Maria didnt show up for this match sadly.

After the Lance Storm match, the PPV went into Intermission, to try to allow the technical issues to get sorted out.

Post intermission, Elgin vs Cole, and the crown was HOT for Elgin, as he was in his hometown.

This match was one of the least hyped, and anticipated, and almost stole the show. What a performance by both men, with the typical tons of punishment dished out before a finish, which was a bucklebomb, followed by spinning powerbomb for the win.

Post match, Martini took the mic, and ran down cole, who elgin showed respect for through the match, and eventually ate a superkick from Cole.
Elgin barely seemed to care, but did carry Martini to the back, signalling a likely face turn for elgin.

Fit Finlay v Roderick Strong was up next, and was the only match of the night that felt flat, with Strong winning, after a discus punch into a sick kick.

Next up was a HOT without honor, tag title match, between the Briscoes, and WGTT

The Briscoes faked at being detained at the border, and opened up with a hockey stick, and both teams gave and took, some stiff shots.

The finish, was one ive been fantasy booking for decades, as Haas, sprays ether into a rag, and KOs Mark Briscoe, with the chemical substance, and scores the pin.

The Main event, was, as it should be, The Final, and Best match of the night.

The Crowd was ALL OVER Richards, Booing him out of the building, and Solidly backing steen.

Mid Match, the wrestlers, pulled a double switch, with richards starting to fight heel, and Steen fighting Face.

Steen, pulling out Sharpshooters, and Ankle Locks, and anything to pop the crowd, while Davey, did anything in his power to Anger them.

The iledriver was UnBanned for this match, opening up the Package Piledriver, but allowed Davey to use a move he hasnt in years, the DR Driver, which is a butterfly piledriver/verticle Pedigree, scoring a solid 2 count.

Finish came from an exposed turnbuckle shot, into a sleeper suplex, followed by the package piledriver for the 3 count.

Post match, the crowd begged for a speech, and steen simply replied

"I don't need a speech, I'm Kevin Fucking Steen"

Fade to black.

Ok, here's something I have to ask you guys. What's the appeal of Steen? I don't watch regularly, but what I've seen is not the next coming of Steve Austin. He really seems to going overkill on the "I'm Kevin Steen I'm EVIL~!" schtick.

he is definitely not a Stone Cold type character.

Think more a Bruiser Brody.

Steen is a big man, who can pull off cruiserweight moves, AND wrestle a technical masterpiece

Steen is hard to grasp on just a few appearances, especially since this match was the blowoff to a storyline that has been going about 2 years, non stop.

Steen isnt evil, hes been taught by Steve Corino, that his "Nice Guy" personality, would never win him gold, and he needed to ACT evil.

Now that he has the belt, we can expect it to diminish, and a fued with Cornette is imminent

Next coming of steve austin, can certainly be Tomassa Ciampa.
