Wouldn't you want him to retire before he hit 756? This probably should have been Bonds 8th MVP, as he should have beat Pendleton in '91. On the Giants, Vizquel at $4 million per for 3 years is a very good deal for them. I was hoping he was going to Boston, but I thought he was all but locked up for the South Side of Chicago. The 3rd year might hamstring the Giants slightly in the 2007 season, but Vizquel will give them a solid bat that can steal bases and a gold glove for a relatively decent price in '05. With the new ballpark and the improvement made this year, San Diego is going to have to at least be competitive in the free agent market to keep up with the Giants and Dodgers. | SC

Odd stat, but just goes to show how he can put up numbers despite nobody being around him.
