This was a decent little segment, if a bit short. Any segment where Billy is actually addressed as Monty Sopp (with matching chyron) is instantly good. As expected, the host seemed to have little knowledge about the product, but didn't come off as stupid or anything. They showed a few clips from tonight- the tuxes look pretty swank. Rico appeared in the clip, but wasn't mentioned by name- just in passing that they have a stylist.

About the most puzzling part was the host (Matt Lauer?) saying how much the audiences have loved them- they pushed it to the point where they were virtually saying they've been faces the whole time. Maybe I'm just out of the loop.

GLAAD, along with their statement about how positive the characters have been, sent along a wedding present- a gravy boat... the significance of which is lost on me.

I don't know about the rest of it, I mean, Billy & Chuck have only recently gotten a face push as far as I know, but gravy boats are a traditional stupid wedding present, much like toasters & china sets that nobody uses.

Gravy boats are very common at gay weddings, actually. The joke is, as I'm told, that only gay people use gravy boats. It's even equated to those 'You may be a redneck...' jokes. You know, 'You may be gay, if you actually use a gravy boat' or whatnot. Most people who have gravy boats in their china collections don't use them.

It's my speculation, put down your sandwiches and beverages here, that gravy boats are used in ulterior ways. But, I do remember on an episode of Martin were a boat of gravy was used during foreplay. Who knows?

It is good to see that the WWE is getting some positive press out of this. Maybe it will lead to some new viewers and help the ratings.

Yeah, let's hope all the new, interested viewers tune in after hearing about these "positive" characters so they can see them say they aren't really gay, that they were just using it as a publicity stunt AND so Rosie and Jamal can beat up some more women.

Perhaps one of the bandanas hanging worn by Jeff Hardy would indicate what a gravy boat means. Will they at least pass it along to Patterson though?

I think when Hardy wears the brown bandana it means he'll do you in a gravy bowl...

OH WAIT...it means something else entirely...

I've never seen Jeff wear a brown bandana. And anyway, who's to say he doesn't prefer white gravy.

Gravy boats dominate!

I may be wrong on this assessment, but I get the feeling that a lot of the Wienerville community isn't big on cooking at home opting for pizza, burgers, chinese take-out.

If you do some big ticket meal cooking (roast turkey, roast chicken, pot roast, prime rib) and you want gravy, the boat rules. You spend hours cooking and you want to put gravy on your turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing/stuffing, but with no boat you have to pass a bowl around with people spooning it out--it takes forever. With the gravy boat you just pour it on, and you're ready to rumble.

Aw man, that was the main reason I wanted to see it!

They`re supposed to be on the Caroline Rhea show too, right? That`s on around 1am here, so maybe I`ll see that.

my family uses our gravy BOATS for thanksgiving. with the pounds of mashed potatos we make for 16+ people, we need some gravy boats making their patrols around the 3 dinner tables...

Uh oh, I not only own a gravy boat, but I often use it (it also works great for pouring milk).

Well, at my home during holiday meals, we use a gravy bowl, which allows the gravy to maintain the temperature and that's why I made that blanket statement. But if I offended the minority group of people here who actually use gravy boats and they assumed that I questioned their own sexuality, I'll retract.

Gravy boats, while still used in some homes, are being replaced by the more 'trendy' gravy bowl.

Where are the statistics to back up these claims of such a minority, or trend? Sometimes I think you just make this stuff up!

(Oh, dear -- the "Try this sandwich" thread over on the Random forum is taking over the entire board! That's what happens when you mix peanut butter with arbitrary, odd ingredients!)

So what were Billy & Chuck saying in the interview? Were they fully in character for the whole thing?
