I could take the episode's title and throw in a Jonathan Winters joke, but I think I'd date myself severely.
No, it doesn't pick up from any particular plot thread, but it decides to go with an episode highlighting Thor. He has a movie out, you know! This is the first animated appearance of Malekith the Accursed and it's cool from that standpoint. The rest of the episode felt a little generic with nothing of note, though I kinda got a kick out of Tony Stark acting like a douche for most of the episode.
Dig those cameos from The Human Torch and The Thing! Were they totally pointless? Absolutely! But I love that they're establishing that this is a Marvel Universe world, where it's only logical that a bunch of superheroes can spring into action at any time, even they aren't part of the Avengers team.
