Not to say he didn't deserve it, but it's quite a turnaround from his past years of futility. Promote this thread! | | It's False

But that move that got Cassell out here in the first place was surprisingly well-played, because the outcry from Clippers fans was deafening when they found out Marko Jaric was going to Minnesota. Elgin Baylor deserves this honor for that trade alone. | ekedolphin

| #3 Posted on 17.5.06 1310.59 Reposted on: 17.5.13 1311.00 | Yes, the Clippers absolutely must re-sign Cassell in the offseason, and Cassell must try and stay reasonable, because no one wants to pay $12 million for someone who will turn 37 during next season. (Jeez, has it been that long since Cassell was a fresh-faced young kid who helped the Rockets win back-to-back NBA Championships?)
When they sign Cassell, Cassell must then hold true to his word and continue to be a mentor to Shaun Livingston, because he's the Clippers' point guard of the future. In fact he may even be good enough to become the permanent starter before Cassell's two years are up, and Cassell must show he's a professional and be able to handle that.
Let's see if Cassell learned anything from the sad end of his tenure in Minnesota. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
