Looks like this might not be the last season after all. I must admit, it is kind of sad that NBC has been reduced to picking up other networks' scraps like this, but maybe a move to a new network will revive the 24 writing staff. This season has been okay (better overall than last, thus far) but I wasn't shedding tears to hear that the show was going off the air.

I wouldn't say there's anything sad about NBC in this regard. After all, they were the ones who lost "Scrubs" to ABC and "Medium" to CBS just last season.

I remember when Angel was going off the air, posted the same thing that NBC might be willing to "pick up the scraps" and take over another couple seasons since they were looking to add some sci-fi shows.

Nothing came of it of course, except for fans of Angel going more and more to for updates of whether their show was going to be saved... but I suppose that was the point of the article in the first place.

There are only so many ways and so many times Jack Bauer can save the world. Maybe it's good to give the show a rest.

Though, he could make a great cameo on THE OFFICE if NBC were to pick it up.
