ACTION CHLOE~!

That's your season right there. As if Mary Lynn Rajskub wasn't hot enough already.

Watching Novak's smirk when the President realized he had just screwed the pooch on Marwan was a delight, as well.

Classic show tonight, one of my favorites so far this season.

Edgar: They sent you because you're the best we have.
Chloe: I know. (rolls eyes)

Then Marwan gets away by blowing up the tunnel and filling it with rocks. Awesome.

And next week

That was huge.

My only question is: Will Palmer get any official standing, or is he just going to be the shadow president while Logan gets all the credit?

This was a great episode, and yes, I loved "Chloes got a gun" as well. What a magnificent closer.

I am probably the world's biggest dork for noticing this, but there was a serious time gaffe on this episode. When Jack is going up the stairs of the nightclub, the clock read 1:25:12, and two minutes later it read 1:23:02. Hmmm....

I'm also starting to think that Buchanan may be the greatest Division cross-over ever. He's just a cool guy. Any other bureaucrat would have gone along with the notion that Jack acted independently (it was even Jack's idea), but Bill really stood by what was right.

Mike Novick was great, too, as mentioned above. I was kind of wishing he would just say, "Look, Logan, let me make the calls around here." I'd feel safer. Of course, this lets Palmer back in, which is awesome...but why was Dennis Haysbert uncredited? He was featured in last week's promos...this wasn't really a surprise. I just wish that Aaron Pierce would have been his Secret Service Agent. Ah, well...

I thought the exact same thing last night. I think I'm officially on the Bill Buchanan bandwagon. Despite bearing an eerie resemblance to Darren #2 from Bewitched, he's been nothing but a man; from his defusing of the Tony/Michelle situation to his handling of the Jack/Logan thing last night. Here's hoping he doesn't go the way of Mason or Chappelle.

It was a solid episode. Much better than the last three or four. It wasn't filled with incredibly ridiculous plots. The writing is definitely down this season, but last night there was enough goodness to make me ignore the mistakes they made...

Still, I can't figure out how Chloe got from CTU to the terrorist's house in five minutes, yet the soonest any other CTU team could get there was going to be fifteen minutes. Um, why didn't Jack just take off from CTU? It would've only taken him three minutes the way he drives. Haha..

WHy does CTU insist on sending anyone any place with only two guards? By my count this is the 4th time this season they have been ambushed at someone's house or apartment or office. And this is 3rd time theyve decided not have have LAPD close off an area just to have Marwan slip thru. They need the Marines back from earlier.

I have to agree with you. The plot elements have been so ridiculous the past few episodes I was almost ready to give up on the show. I don't know about past seasons, but I figured the writing had to better to have gained such a loyal audience. However, this episode not only wasn't as ridiculous, but at least it seemed that it backed off some of the ridiculous plot points of the previous episode (I mean, does anybody really think that just the mere fact that Jack offered his resignation would get Buchanan off the hook? Especially since Jack apparently rejoined about 15 minutes later, that seemed to be a particularily half-baked notion.) And the last scene with Chloe was just cool.

Of course, the time elements are still screwed up, but I guess that's just something you have to live with if you are going to follow this show. I still fear that Jack or somebody else from CTU is going to end up teleporting to Iowa, and I'm not sure how forgiving I can be if that does occur.

This line made me laugh out loud. Thanks. Of course....

According to the IMDB site, Chase is supposed to be back in the next (last) 5 episodes. Jack said he was working private security. I wonder if it is in Iowa and he somehow gets involved in this. I know it is farfetched, but, as mentioned, that has never stopped 24 in the past.

Jack said early on in the series that Chase and Kim were living in Valencia (CA).

Of course, the writers may have even forgotten about that, so you never know.

As a stand-alone episode, this was one of the best ever. But taken within the context of this season so far, it's slightly annoying. Even though it actually made sense this time, Jack loses Marwan - AGAIN.

I (loosely) rationalize these things by remembering one of this season's themes: resources are thin.

Well at least Marwan's escape made sense this time. He's really mixing it up and coming up with new escape techniques every week. Instead of going upstairs again, this time he went downstairs. Next time he'll probably have three cars to choose from to top the desert escape. Haha. Seriously, the guy only looks like some sort of criminal mastermind because everybody in the world who's name doesn't rhyme with Mack Power is completely incompetent.

And as far as the thin resources go, well, if they actually started screening employees after season one, and didn't hire anybody off the street with a guard card, well, maybe once in a while their agents would actually come home alive...

Well maybe if CTU didn't expect all of it's employees to work 24/7 they could actually get some new employees.
Seriously where is the night shift yet? It's been the same people the entire day except for Jack's 20 or so "partners" and they aren't going to be worth anything anymore.

I agree, no one is showing any signs a fatigue or anything. Wheres the red bull, coffee and candy bars? I work in a military watch center, if it wasnt for candy bars and cup o noodles the Jamaicans could invade and take over the whole east coast.

Im not asking for much but at least have Edgar untuck his shirt or something.
