| #6 Posted on 26.3.03 1640.38 Reposted on: 26.3.10 1645.10 | From Dave's site today: "On Sportsnet.ca they had a poll asking what is your favorite defunct sports league. The poll had USFL (which died how many years ago?), ABA (I was a big fan of the ABA but that was also 30 years ago), WHL, NASL and WCW. WCW was in second place with 38% at last check (thanks to Jole Mitkovski)"
I miss WCW as well. Basically it was an alternative. I could get some good matches in the undercard and then skip the main event. Right now with no alternative and getting let down with each failed angle or each instance of irrational booking is making me really wonder why I still watch.
I always wonder how things would have gone if the Invasion had truly been booked as an Invasion. I mean, in the beginning when WCW invaded MSG, the angle was going great. If Vince had not been so petty and not letting WCW stars get some wins over WWF, maybe we would have a Monday Nitro and a WWE Smackdown now. It is a shame that WCW died like it did. Died in an insanely booked angle. | Iron Mike Sharpe

Regardless of promotional preferecne, that had to be the most historic RAW/NITRO ever. VKM beat Turner, and turned his other enemies of the late 90's (Bischoff, Hogan) into his bitches.
VKM won. His enemies lost, but so did the fans. Competition drives the market to put forth a better product. | Monte

Oh boy, I nearly through my television set out the window. I had nightmares about that for months. I would love for the whole roster split idea to become a WCW/WWE split rather than RAW/Smackdown. Nitro had one of the more pretty set designs out there. Even if you don't change it to WCW/WWE, at least bring back the Nitro Girls.
