Indeed. I have no quarrel with that though. Sometimes the (fairly) predictable route is the right one.
Loved this episode though. The assembly and make up of the Doctor's posse was gloriously over the top, and Smith's speech to Colonel 'Runaway' was great. And Rory managed to not only avoid near death for a week, but even got to be a bit of a bad ass ("would you like me to repeat the question?") for a while, so yay for him.
i don't want to wait 3 months to see "let's kill Hitler."
I thought it was much better then I heard. I expected a downer ending and got a hopeful one. I guess they wrote it for Captain Jack to be in it, but Barrowman was filming Miracle Day. Yet, he maybe in the second half. I really want the eye patch lady to die and I am wondering who is really behind all of this.
The thing is I could see Fox getting Woody Harrelson for the series: not saying he's hard up for work, but I don't think he'd be above it. Emma Stone and Jesse Eisenberg, not so much. I would really rather see either show on FX as well.
