When the hell did Hardy and Cena become sure-fire main eventers? Especially considering the other wrestlers on the roster?

I agree with there needing to be less McMahon and Hag on the show, but the truth needn't be stretched quite that much.

Or, just maybe, we don't need *3* segments of Sable seducing Zack Gowan.

You're absolutely right, you get rid of those segments and Cena and Hardy could wrestle each other in a 1:30 classic. Hell yes!!!! Or maybe you could have TWO matches, with Cena and Hardy in separate matches, :45 each of pure entertainment!!!! Ooh, ooh, I know, they could have a best two out of three falls match, of course within 1:30. Yep, all sorts of things you can do with the massive amount of time that you can clear getting rid of the *3* Sable segments!

All kidding aside, why does it make that much differece whether Matt and Cena get a 4-6 minute match on Smackdown (which being realistic, that's what we are talking about) or a 4-6 minute match on Velocity. Seems like an equal amount of entertainment to me. Can you not set the VCR? Do you have stock in mattitude.com, which value hinges on Matt's main event status?

But since you do care, have faith. Given Matt's and John's surefire main-eventer status, viewers (and Mattitude followers) are sure to flock over to Velocity this week and pop a big rating.

Unless watching Velocity is beneath them.

Somehow, I don't see the 3 Zack/Sable segments taking up a total of 1:30. If you arranged it correctly, you could prob. squeeze ~5 minutes out for at least 1 of those guys. Hell, they don't even need to have a match. Do an interview or backstage segment w/ either guy, if for no other reason to keep them visible.

As for the Smackdown vs. Velocity argument, what ratings does Velocity pull down? 1. something? Smackdown gets a 3. something. Are the casual fans who pop on SD on a Thursday going to know these guys are on Velocity? Would make sense to me to keep guys they have plans for on the more-watched show.

Why not put all the Sable/Steph/Vince stuff on Velocity?

Oh, good. I was really hoping to myself that Vince would do a storyline where a diva is drawn to him YET AGAIN.

I'm guessing cos they think that continuing the Vince/Sable/Steph storyline is of more importance and will appeal to more people than throwing in a backstage skit for Cena or Mattitude.

You disagree. But why labour the point every week, particularly when you aint even seen the show yet?

Vince/Sable/Steph isn't going to generate PPV buys, nor is it going to help house show business. Hardy & Cena can. They are fresh characters that are connecting w/ the crowd, so to push them aside in favor of Vince/Sable/Steph is wrong. Exactly what demographic are they targeting by featuring a 50-year old guy, his daughter, 40-year old plastic woman, and a 1-legged wrestler?

And I've seen enough of this storyline over the last month+ to know I've got no interest in where it is heading. And if it is anything like the segments over the last month, I know I won't be entertained by this week's.

Vince / Steph / Sable = Redneck Triathalon = TV for 12 year olds.

I'm not sure if 12 year olds are into their Grandpa trying to bang their Mother with their older sister getting jealous.

I won't dignify that last question with an answer. All I know is that screwing your boss to get to the top is SO 90's. It's played out, anyways. I can easily tell that the total of these segments will be up to something around ten minutes in total. Ten Spanky-less minutes.

Which means they're spearated into three chunks of around three minutes, scattered across the show in convenient places to the rest of the card (ie. the stuff we like such as Benoit/Rhyno, ~KANYON~, Team Angle Explodes, etc.). So, logically, in order to fit either Matt of Cena in in anything of importance (something in the ring, for instance), the other segments owuld have to be cut/re-arranged/rewritten. So, looking at this entirely from a scheduling perspective, it's a matter of sacrifices.

And besides, if the ten spread-out minutes of crap blinkers you to an otherwise great show, what the Hell is wrong with you? Answer: You live to bitch rather than enjoy.

Even that way, you've got a couple viable options:
1) Use 1 or 2 of those 3 minute spots to give Hardy and/or Cena mic time or a backstage segment
2) Combine 2 of them into a 6-minute block, and play around w/ your commercial breaks to accommodate.

In the very least, option #1 should be used. It keeps either/both on the main show, and you wouldn't have to do any re-arranging.

There is the uh 3,000th singles push of Billy Gunn and the return of the APA, too. Why's it gotta be black or white? You have to 100% love something or you hate it all and are bitchy? So people want some Cena, Mattitude, or Spanky on their show too? No one said the show sucks without them, they'd just like to see them on it. It's constructive criticism.

Oh, FINALLY somebody who knows how to sum me up perfectly. Anyway, I was a tad too generous with the ten minutes thing. But having seen said show with my big brother (who tapes them for me when I'm at work), you have to admit, when it comes to the crap, bitching makes it far less annoying!

True; when something sucks the big one nothing's more enjoyable than tearing it a new exit hole. BUT, my beef was the fact that so many peeps bypassed talking about ANY of the positives and went straight to the negatives. And you, my good Ringmistress, are certainly not like that. The HHH fetish alone is enough to prove that.

I think this is the first time in a long while that there is actual mystery regarding the WWE and in a good way...and we won't know for a month what's gonna happen in the end.
