my biggest issue is people who are now 3rd or 4th generation fanboys who are now in positions of power and their stories read like warmed over fan fiction. (colored lanterns for one)
Agreed, although it is hard to argue the success of "colored lanterns". Like I say, I enjoy a lot of Johnns stuff, but who was clamoring for Barry Allen's return? And sorry Geoff, you may love Aquaman, but he will NEVER be an A Lister.
I'm a fan of non-fiction books. I particularly like books that go behind-the-scenes in movies, TV shows, events, etc. Some examples from my bookcase: Lost Moon (made into the movie Apollo 13) The Big Show (behind the Keith & Dan Sportscenter)
