If hundreds of other mass shootings are any indication, nothing.
Sorry. I mean, "thoughts and prayers."
Also bicker. A lot. It's depressing how little really changes, even just going off of the reactions of friends. At this point, we'll just take from tragedies like these whatever will reinforce our existing beliefs. At least there seems to be more of a concerted effort to not only mourn, but also get out and help however ordinary people can (such as donating blood).
You wanted the best, you got... the Out of Context Quote of the Week.
"And this has been your Comfortable with his Sexuality Update." (Stefonics)
Unreal. Thoughts and prayers coming from Canada - which yes, is a legitimate actual thing people can say and be serious about.
Real question; I'm scheduled to head top a trip down to California later this year. Should I be fearing for my safety based on having to cover up my whole body for health reasons?

See my profile picture on here, although it's out of date, I have to cover up the nose now too. I have severe photosensitivity, anaphylactic reactions to ultraviolet. Only thing you'll see is my eyes.
No joke, but some jurisdictions have banned that sort of thing. There are many places where you cannot obscure your face in public. They were measures to stop the KKK from being able to hide their faces.
Check the local laws of the places you are visiting here in the states. If you have proof of your medical condition with you, you should be ok. I'm sure no law enforcement would actually accost you, but to some it might look suspicious.
You should be fine. Lots of people cover up from the sun out here in the summer. Several of the guys I coach high school football with have hats like that, they never bother velcroing the front together. In San Francisco you may want to invest in one of these (carhartt.com) it gets windy and chilly there.
Things always come in threes. We've seen two guys thinking of running for the GOP in 2012 get dinged this month for affairs. If someone could connect Sarah Palin and Jon Gosselin it could be the biggest story in the history of the world.
