The Kurt video flat-out ROCKED. The only problem is, that is not the kind of video you show if you want to bring someone back as a heel, and it doesn't make any sense to bring him in as a face. Brock has no serious challengers to his title, and Kurt already has a story-line issue with him (not only did Brock take his belt, but in the story he was also the one that injured Kurt's neck). Plus, face Kurt just leaves Team Angle in the lurch. As much as I liked the Coldplay video, they should've just stuck with the "Life's True Champion" bits.
If this leads to a Tazz/Marc Mero feud.....hell. To. Pay.
Disturbed at the lack of Rhyno and John Cena this week.
Over 1300 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!
In the issues of December 16th, 2000 to November 10th, 2001, we may have given the impression that George W. Bush had been legally and duly elected president of the United States. We now understand that this may have been incorrect, and that the election result is still too close to call. The Economist apologizes for any inconvenience. --- The Economist, 11/17/01
The Basham brothers didn't show me too much to make a judgment on them. They do seem better than the Frenchies, however
Doug Basham had a few matches on Velocity a while ago, and I was impressed. He had a lot of offense in the matches, showed some great agility, drew good heel heat for someone the fans had never seen before, and was overall very impressive. Danny Basham is The Damaja in OVW (they're not real brothers). Saw a little bit of his OVW stuff, and wasn't too impressed. I haven't seen SD yet, so I can't comment on this match.
Doug Basham is the best worker to come out of OVW, IMHO, and Damaja has improved a *lot* in the last year or two (he's one of the top four along with Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore). Both have pretty decent mic skills.

-Nidia vs. Torrie- Sable shouldn't be commentating on anyones fashion sense. Okay match. Nidia wins because Torrie hurt is knee, even though Torrie was laughing after chasing Sable with the very dangerous bottle of water... No more commentators getting involved in feuds. Remember the last time Tazz got physically involved. He choked out Cena during a rapping session, and a week or 2 later Cena was sitting next to Tazz making fun of Cole and commentating up a storm and Tazz was smiling and digging Cena's act, which of course made no sense. Keep commentators away from the ring.
-Eddie/Tajiri vs. Team Angle- Real excellent match. Very smart and clever ways of being sneaky by Eddie & Tajiri in keeping their belts.
-Hogan/Vince stuff- I thought it was funny on the most part. But like most of WWE skits they don't know when to exit stage left and drag it on too long. When they started talking about what Vince does in the limo then it got stupid but everything before was pretty funny... I wonder what Vince's limo driver Mr. Hughes feels about this revelation!
-O'Haire vs. Benoit- I remember a month before WM, you can make a serious case for Benoit/Rock- Wrestler/Entertainer feud and a possible Benoit going over. That seems like forever ago, he is as directionless as he can be. Jobbing to FBI one week, being in a match with Matt Hardy just to set up a Matt/Mysterio feud and now losing the O'haire... He also looked really dumb, it's one thing to be distracted and go after a manager but leaving yourself open by giving the manager a crossface. Benoit = idiot wrestler.
-Basham Brothers vs. Spanky/Rikishi- Kendrick was one of those new guys that really grabbed my attention. And a possible feud with him and Cena had me excited about Smackdown. Well Cena beat him easily last week and now Kendrick is losing to a debut team that had no hype to them what-so-ever.
-BigShow/Pulumbo/Stamboli v. Brock/Undertaker- First off let me say I don't get why Big Show is still involved in main event feuds at all... with the participants involved (my gawd look at the heels involved) It was much better then I would expect it. It was pretty quick and I'll give Undertaker credit, even though he's far from my favorite in the ring. But being the age he is he doesn't embarrass himself in there like some others.
-other stuff- First off spectacular Angle video... I actually thought Stephanie was kind of cute and funny backstage with Vince "ding"... On the obscured side Cole/ Tazz no selling Matt Hardy kicking Mysterio right in the nuts and actually giving him "credit" WTF!. That's such a heelish jerk move call him out on it instead of giving him credit?... Was that Mr. Hughes driving McMahon limo, I know it wasn't but kind of looked like him. I feel really bad saying this but this Zach kid is getting on my nerves, jumping into the ring then getting to manage Hogan. And then last night beside Vince's limo he was getting on my nerves as well. I feel horrible in giving a one legged kid heel reaction but it's starting to build up in me LoL
I thought the show was good enough. The first hour was good the 2nd hour was okay.
Line of the night: Tazz "Hey he's got one right". After Vince admits something and it dings.
cause there's limits to our liberties. 'Least I hope and pray that there are, cause those liberal freaks go too far.
I'll crush all opposition to me And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay

Why? Got me.
I have to be honest Spiff, for all I defended the Mr. America/Vince stuff I did so cos I thought they would have that at the top of the card while giving guys like them time to flourish on the undercard.
If its gonna mean them dropping off altogether so I can have mental images of Vince and Mae, I might yet be jumping on board with you if that ship ain't sailed already.
Proof Benoit was born ten years too late. Can't you just picture him in the WWF of 1993 putting on 5-star matches with Bret Hart and Curt Hennig and doing IcoPro commercials? Or maybe 5 years too late--WWF Attitude: You Gotta Feel It!
