Hello.
MAN what a Tuesday we have coming up for new releases. Amazon has been giving me between 710 and 750 listings showing a release date between Tuesdasy, 3/25 and the following Monday. Taking out the usual large percentage of unavailable items, we're still left with a very impressive... 472 DVDs! 6 Blu-Ray and 5 HD DVDs! MASSIVE (even if you ignore the 123 "Coaches' Choice" instructional DVDs! I sure did!) It's still the biggest number we've seen this year. Dive on in... right after the following introductory words:
Unlike those curious Amazon folks, who are apparently so desperate for clicks that they only let you see 12 items on a page, we assemble the whole shebang, then place EVERYTHING on one (very long) page for your convenience!
Hovering over links should provide you with Amazon's current price (which will usually be at its lowest during the pre-order and on the day of release!)
Adding an item from here into your Amazon shopping cart provides a friendly referral from The W, so please consider making your purchase - or ANY purchase, for that matter - through us. It'll place a few coins in our tip jar and YOU'LL get some good karma...well, you'll get your merchandise, anyway. Probably.
As much as we love Amazon, sometimes - often - they are a little light when it comes to the details about the stuff they're selling. That's where we step in - I attempt to some provide additional exposition (or, more likely, a bad joke) along with links to more information represented by IMDb icons (which can be clicked to take you to a movie's IMDb listing) or tv.com icons (which can be clicked to take you to the relevant episode list from tv.com)! And if I can't give you THAT, I'll sometimes take you directly to the distributor's own information...especially when they're also offering a trailer or free preview. You can waste LOTS of time on these - and really, isn't that what the Internet is all about? (Distributors with no Internet presence suck, by the way. You get NOTHING for THOSE listings. Sorry, but I can only do so much with my ability to read minds!)
ALL links should open new windows while keeping this one alive, so you can click, look, and then close to come right back here! We never want you to leave!
If you don't mind my asking for some promotion, please tell a friend about this post (or vote this thread up on your favourite social networking site with a click of the icon(s) of your choice at the bottom of the page) because it takes me a long time to put these togegther, and I'm a big fan of more eyeballs! We're also happy for you to share this link to others via email as well - a lot of people do that!
Please feel free to add a reply and share your two cents about any of the listings you see here - show off your impressive knowledge, share your opinion about something you've seen, something you're looking forward to seeing, or make your own crappy jokes which are better than mine!
We also hope that if you buy something, you come back and tell us what you thought about it! This has hardly ever happened, but it's always appreciated when it does!
If you have something to say but don't want to say it publicly (or register for the board), you can also email me direct at CRZ.DVD@gmail.com!
RUNNER-UP: Best of the Price is Right I'm also a sucker for the game shows I grew up with! 26 episodes - I'm SO there! More info at Navarre (navarre.com)

Whew, another marathon run. How far did you get before your eyes glazed over and you skipped to the end? I don't blame ya. Hey, but maybe by Monday you'll be interested again, and you can come back and we can all learn how many MORE changes have been made as well as get a final look at Amazon's Top 24 preorders for this week's releases!
If you're feeling brave, why not attempt to discuss any or all of the above with a reply?
Could you imagine if Justin and Justine got married?! OMG!!!
But the real star of these things is Megan McCormick. That lady could tell me about her trip to her trip to the bank and it'd be fantastic. I think they actually did an episode like that once. I don't know why you'd buy the DVDs though, when this thing is on one of a trillion channels at any given moment, and it's never particularily useful as a travel guide, unless you plan on going to a tiny village in the middle of the brush to see some pond.

Originally posted by CRZ April Fool's Day (direct to DVD, 2008) Taylor Cole - Remake of 1986 horror flick wasn't quite good enough for theatres, which is saying something.
I coulda swore this got pushed back for a theatrical release next month. Strange...

If I didn't already have these three films and had spent $24.99 each on them when they first came out, I'd be buying this.

DO NOT BUY! This company puts out bad bootlegs of decent Region 2 discs. BAD, BAD, BAD!!!
It is a shame, because the region 2 discs are very clean and pretty and these are chopped and croped to fit you screen making the picture grainy and faded.
This was a really good series that no one but me, seemingly, watched when it was on. ABC ended up putting the unaired episodes online, but that sucks watching it on the computer.

I can think of a reason. The show was AWESOME! The toys were quite awesome as well.
If you like Rose McGowan and you've never seen this film (The first one...) Do yourself a favor and get this. This film (The first one...) was super trashy and fun to watch. The only downside, and for this type of film, it's strange, but Rose does NOT get nekid in it... which is a crying shame.
Well, true to form we whittle about 150 titles off the available list for tomorrow. But fear not, we add THREEEEEEEEE!
NEWLY ADDDED FOR TUESDAY: Young Man With a Horn (The W at Amazon) (1950) Kirk Douglas, Lauren Bacall, Doris Day, Hoagy Carmichael - Box claims DVD + CD soundtrack... dodgy import release? I mean, the Warner version is right there Who's My Daddy? Comedian Don Worley Advanced Double Nunchakus You know those nunchakus that are, like, DOUBLE nunchakus?
RESCHEDULED FOR 4/29: Katia Et Volodia - interestingly, the OTHER one just shows not available now. Down there. In fact, let's look at that list right away!
I can't believe a diagnostic Blu-Ray is the #3 seller. Do people just need an easy way to show off their system, or are they so complex they need the kind of calibration that only a diagnostic disc can provide, or ....or what? WE didn't sell any copies, so I may not get an answer here.
I expect some of those later ones will change as we get closer to the actual date (and more stuff gets scheduled). Or maybe MANNIX has a huge following, who can say?
