Last time we had a thread about 30 Rock, the theme, albeit not the consensus, was that it was still churning out amazing jokes and the characters were sort of inconsequential. I gotta say though, the last few episodes have packed quite an emotional punch even while taking place in crazyworld. Between Jack and Kenneth's promotions, the TGS crew ruining everything for Liz's betterment and the identity of her new kids, and the series wraps of Colleen, Dr. Spaceman, Devin Banks, Chloe Moretz, and Steve Buscemi, it's been a startlingly moving last few episodes. I'll be goddamned if The Office gives its expanded roster closure anything close to this thoughtful and satisfying.

I concur, 30 Rock went from the last couple of seasons of playing on my television as I folded laundry or searched for... things... on the Internets, occasionally providing a guffaw from their fabled joke machine, to a really strong season finally moving the characters and situations forward in meaningful ways.

30 Rock had three amazing seasons, two okay-to-average seasons and two more amazing runs to wrap things up. It's funny, for all the Emmy wins and big-name stars involved, it's still kind of an underrated show given how so much of the online fan love goes to Community, Parks & Rec and other shows that may be perceived more as underdogs rather than the one that has Lorne Michaels' oomph behind it. It's like hey guys, 30 Rock gets terrible ratings too, it's part of the cool club!

I am going to badly miss this show when it's gone. It is one of my all-time favourite series. (Unsurprising, given my long-time avatar.)

I concur 100%. The Willy Wonka theme was great, right down to the re-enactment from the end of the movie in Wonka's office.

Life is happening!

I forget what season it was but I think it was early when Jack said to Liz about Kenneth: "In five years, we will either be working for him or dead at his hands". It was the one with the Casino on the set. Regardless, when he gave NBC to Kenneth,it seems like it all came full circle.

Life is hilariously cruel.

Why I hate (love) Lost...the most anticipated episode of Lost's history is next week, but they have me dying to see more of Sawyer, Widmore and Man In Black. Sawyer cutting through the bullshit and getting right in Widmore's face was excellent.
