| #2 Posted on 9.11.05 1937.42 | Instant Rating: 4.61 | What's really cool is that while the Japanese Hornets completely decimate European honey bees, the Japanese honey bees have a successful counter measure. They lure the hornet scout into the hive and then they all gang tackle the hornet, piling on until the heat builds up enough to kill it. The honey bees have a higher heat tolerance, so with the scout dead the hive lives another day.
The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.
