I was wondering if anybody has read "ROPE OPERA How WCW killed Vince Russo".

I really enjoyed his first book, but he strayed away from any dirt whatsoever so that he wouldn't get the wrestlers mad at him for revealing their road habits.

I was just wondering if this one is any better, and if anybody would recommend it.

Amazon.com doesn't list it as coming out until February 1st, but I definitely want to read it.

Same here. I'm looking forward to spending a couple of hours in a Barnes and Noble tearing through it.

Buy it?! I think not.

Clearly you've never been in a B&N. They'll sell most anything with a cover and pages.

I was being a little sarcastic. Yep I know if they do not have it the nice lady at the desk will order it for me.

Considering that everything I hate about contemporary pro wrestling is essentially a corollary of Russo's booking philosophy, I probably won't be buying it. I'm shocked there was a first, or that anyone could be interested in what this man has to say.

Just to get his warped opinion on things and to see how it compares to reality, mostly. Or his reasoning for certain things he did.

Actually his first book, IMO was VERY well written and gave a lot of insight on how the booking of the Attitude Era was done.

I didn't see that the book wasn't out yet. MY BAD!

I forget the quote, but my favorite was when Hugh Morris was making fun of Edge and Christian said something to the effect of, "Edge doesn't care. People have been making fun of his stupid name for our entire lives."
