Summammabitch! Wow, that is real bad. They missed a (IMO) a really good Hogan-Jericho match...

"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like that time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville; I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war; the only thing you can get was those big yellow ones..." -Abe Simpson

| #3 Posted on 3.5.02 1846.34 | Well, the show was better than Raw. The Angle/Storm vs. Edge/Venis tag match was damn good, as well as the main event (due entirely to Jericho). The Vince/Stacy stuff was just horrid, but overall the show was much more enjoyable than Raw.

| #5 Posted on 3.5.02 1929.46 | Like one of the columnists said, no Rock, no ratings.
The WWF could at least have him make a triumphant visit just to cut a promo like Mick Foley used to do. The Rock learned at lot from him.
The Hogan-Jericho match was very good. But people figured out, even without surfing the Net, that Hogan was going to win anyway.

| #6 Posted on 3.5.02 2208.33 | I'm putting all the blame on Michael Cole's shoulders. He's the only one on the show for full 2 hours (along with Tazzzz)
Another reason is the lack of Stratusfaction on the show. No Trish on Smackdown and rating decline week after week since the split. No Trish on Raw this week it falls 0.4. Prediction Heat beats out both shows this week.
To get a little serious, I've always been one to say, lets not press the panic button, but that was a major fall, but saying that on the overnights Smackdown did tie fox's Star Wars movie with a 4.5. Will Fox be able to pull off movies like that week in and week out. And what others have stated that playoff's is in full swing.
I thought Smackdown was perfectly fine, the Jericho/Hogan match was fine and I thought the build was pretty decent. They hyped "that" match for a week also. I'm sure many will scream "the sky is falling" I personally keeping the faith that decent TV (that I'm convinced Thursday TV was better then good) things should turn around.

Actually, the WWF's numbers have generally not been effected by the NBA playoffs over the years. So if people are choosing the NBA over the WWF, then they're doing something different than they've done the last 7-8 years or so.
