Hoffman blew a save today, his first of the season. His save string dated back to last season.

Sigh.

Perez would have been 3-0 to start his career if they could have gotten in. He's 20. Now he has the ND.

And just one day after I successfully traded to get him too!

Lucky me!

And there's still hope for Perez. He looked real sharp the first time I saw him about a week ago.

Oh, he was amazing.

It was 5-2. Perez is the real deal - this was his last test - pitching on the road.

When I saw this header, I thought someone had pitched a perfect game.

That's what I get for driving around listening to CDs for once, instead of ESPN radio.

I thought the exact same thing initially. Guru being a fan of the sport outta know better than to use the number 27. It causes baseball fantatics to stain their shorts.

(sigh)

My bullpen and offense have been the only things keeping me even close to competitive in my fantasy league. I had nothing past Schilling in the rotation, until I traded Ichiro for Odalis Perez and Higginson. (To be fair, I still have Vlad and Winn in my outfield, not to mention an infield of Sweeney, Soriano, Rollins, and Glaus, with Fick behind the plate and Batista as my utility IF.) If you want my lineup, here it is. I mention my team because Ugie and Hoffman = my pen.

EDIT: It appears you can't view my roster unless you're a member of Sandbox... maybe I should find a way to change that. It's been fixed. Maybe.

As for the Yankees losing 3/4 of their rotation. I think they have upgraded. Big problem with that notion: No lefties. And Yankee Stadium favors lefty pitchers. George, thou art a moron for letting Pettitte go...
